For Small Dogs – 5-8 lbs

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 extra-large yam (2 medium-sized)
  • 1 to 1/2 cups dried brown rice
  • 4 lbs. ground chicken
  • 4-5 cups fresh spinach
  • One 15-ounce tomato sauce in a can

How To Make:

  • Cook the brown rice according to the instructions in the packaging.
  • After cleaning, pierce the yam(s) with a fork. After that, heat for 7 minutes on high in the microwave, or until tender. Then, after completing the second iteration, spin the yam once. Lastly, after chilled, cut into cubes.
  • The oil and chicken should be added to a big soup pot. The chicken should next be completely cooked over medium heat.
  • Remove the pot from heat and add the cooked brown rice, tomato sauce, cubed yams, and raw spinach. Afterward, mix all together with a large spoon.
  • Blend them in a submersion blender. There shouldn’t be any big pieces.
  • After an hour of cooling, put it in the refrigerator for the night. The mixture can be set by cooling.
  • 2 big baking sheets should be lined with parchment paper. Then, use an ice cream scoop to portion out individual portions.
  • Next, place the trays in the freezer until frozen.
  • Take out the frozen puppy food and transfer them to Ziplock bags.
  • The remaining amount of the puppy food can be stored in the freezer for the next weeks, while a week’s worth can be kept in the refrigerator.

2. Healthy puppy food

Ingredients:

  • A Tbsp. of Calcium powder
  • ¼ cup unsweetened coconut flakes or coconut oil
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 squash, shredded
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1 zucchini, shredded
  • 1 apple, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 cup uncooked millet or any other grains
  • 3 lbs ground turkey

How to Make:

  • Bring 1 cup of the whole grain to a boil in a pot of water. Drain.
  • While that’s boiling, shred/chop the veggies.
  • Cook ground turkey with olive oil and drain excess juices.
  • Mix everything!
  • No need to cook the veggies
  • The cooked turkey and whole grain will warm them up a bit.
  • Store in Tupperware or ziplock bags and freeze.

3. Chicken and brown rice puppy food


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 teaspoon iodized salt
  • 1/2 cup UNCOOKED brown rice
  • 1/4 cup fish oil
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 carrots (chopped)
  • 2 peeled and chopped sweet potatoes
  • 8 ounces frozen peas
  • 15 ounces diced tomatoes

How to Make:

  • Set your slow cooker to low
  • Add all the ingredients
  • Cook for 5-6 hours
