Greensburg Veterinary Clinic Introduce
For pet owners and farmers throughout the Greensburg area and Southeastern Indiana, the Greensburg Veterinary Clinic stands as a reliable and experienced resource, offering truly comprehensive care for both family pets and essential livestock. Unlike many clinics that focus solely on small companion animals, Greensburg Veterinary Clinic operates as a full-service general practice, expertly handling the diverse health needs of dogs and cats alongside robust veterinary medical services for large animals.
This dual-focus approach is particularly valuable in the Indiana agricultural community, where the health of livestock is crucial. The clinic seamlessly blends routine care for small animals—like vaccinations and spay/neuter procedures—with specialized large animal medicine, including herd health exams and farm visits. This breadth of service ensures that whether you’re seeking a caring doctor for your senior cat or a professional team to manage a herd's reproductive health, you can find knowledgeable support close to home.
The clinic features an experienced team, including professionals like Dr. Sweet, who is highly recommended by long-time clients for complex procedures like surgery. They commit to utilizing modern technology, such as digital radiology and therapeutic lasers, to provide high-quality diagnostics and treatment options. However, it is essential for all clients, particularly in emergency situations, to understand their established protocols, as one heartfelt review highlighted the potential limitations of private practice emergency coverage for non-established patients, stressing the importance of being a registered client.
Greensburg Veterinary Clinic is conveniently situated just outside the main downtown area, making it easily accessible for both local residents and clients traveling from surrounding rural areas of Decatur County and beyond. The location is designed with patient and client comfort in mind, including features that ensure ease of access for everyone.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANY ANIMALback story: I am not for sure which vet my puppy went to when she got her shots. My parents were sleeping so I could not ask them in an emergency. My sister used to work at this clinic for a vet class she was taking. if I call the number on your website and it gives me a separate number to call for a pet emergency then I’m going to call it. my puppy just kept getting worse and could not find anyone or anything that was close to me and yes I did start that two hour drive to the closest 24 hrs but when I called to see if they could help me since IT WAS AN EMERGENCY my puppy just kept getting worse yes I hated having to call at 9-10 but it was a life or death situation. DR. Megan answered the phone and I was crying yes I was losing my puppy. and was very shitty obviously was pissed she got woken up but if your on call get over it that’s what happens but she made it clear that since my puppy has not been seen by her clinic that they WOULD NOT HELP ME. if they needed to charge me extra to help save my puppy I would have been okay with paying whatever to keep her alive. she made it clear that she does not know why the number I called was given out and they are a private practice. I DO NOT CARE PRIVATE PRACTICE OR NOT your a vet and should have it in your heart to help a animal in need but no so I got in my car and started driving 2 hours to the closest open place I could find and by time I got 30 minutes down the road my puppy had passed away. so I lost my best friend I tried so hard to get her somewhere. it all came out of no where was not expected she was just a little over a year old and was running around playing and having the time of her life. Then not even 4 hrs later she is gone. Words can’t describe how much I dislike this due to this situation. so do not ever call this place in an emergency if you want your pet to live. The picture added is from 4 hrs before she randomly passed to say I am heart broken is a understatement. this place will never get my money
October 13 · Cassidy HarmeyerWe have taken our two 25 lb. dogs to them for thirteen years. They each have had to have surgery done by Dr. Sweet. We can't recommend her enough. She is extra friendly as isbher staff. They are all very knowledgeable and helpful. She will have to do surgery on my senior dog, and I am not a bit worried because I know that my best friend is in the best of care.
May 30 · Della HullThey definitely seem to actually care about your fur-babies. 8 cats and 2 dogs through the years, have never had an issue with them or their job performance.
July 19 · Danny MulfordHad to say "goodbye" unexpectedly to our cat Tillie.Walked in as they opened the door for the day (crying of course) and was met with the greatest care and sympathy for both Tillie and me.Great care was given to give me the time I needed to say my goodbyes, and the process was administered with a focus on making it non-stressful for Tillie.A horrible day, but the best place I could have gone for what had to be done.
May 02 · Nathan VandreyAlways so good with my Great DaneAlso really super at helping find the best cost effective options for my needs/concerns
