Dental hygiene is an important part of your pet's health, because dental disease can be associated with other serious health problems such as heart disease and kidney disease. But how do you know if your pet has a healthy mouth? Let us examine your pet’s teeth and gums to help determine if there are any dental issues you should know about. After a brief visual examination, we may recommend a more detailed examination (which requires sedation), a dental cleaning, or options for at-home dental care.

Laser therapy has a broad range of uses in veterinary medicine, from expanding surgical options, to promoting wound and tissue healing, to enhancing physical therapy results. In our continuing effort to offer the highest-quality medicine to all our patients, we are proud to provide laser therapy supervised by our expert health care team. As a cutting-edge medical advance, laser therapy requires a highly skilled and dedicated staff. Fortunately, our health care team is experienced in laser therapy and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and overall care. Our staff has been extensively trained and will handle your pet with care and compassion, so rest assured that your pet will receive the very best care in our state-of-the-art medical facility.
- Microchipping
Each year, thousands of pets go missing, and many don’t make it back home. Many pets (especially indoor pets) don’t wear collars or tags. Even if your pet wears a collar and identification tag, collars can break off and tags can become damaged and unreadable, so these forms of identification may not be enough to ensure your pet’s safe return. Your pet needs a form of identification that is reliable and can’t get lost, stolen, or damaged. A microchip is a safe, simple form of identification that can significantly increase the chance that your pet will return safely.
- Nutritional Counseling
Whether your pet has special dietary needs or simply needs to shed (or gain) a few pounds, our nutritional counseling services can help you accomplish your goals and keep your pet in good health. We offer counseling in dietary selection and feeding practices for pets during various life stages, such as growth, pregnancy, nursing, and the “golden years.” If your pet has a medical condition, we can help you select the most appropriate diet to suit your pet’s needs.

id you know that pets age faster than people and can be considered “seniors” at around 7 years of age? Just as our health care needs change as we age, your pet’s health care needs also change. Nutritional needs, exercise habits, and many aspects of your pet’s daily routine can change as your pet ages. But how can you tell the difference between “normal” aging and a medical problem? As in humans, some health issues that affect older pets can begin with very subtle changes that may go unnoticed until the problem has become serious.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I absolutely cannot recommend this clinic enough for animals of all shapes and sizes.I brought my Guinea Pig Elphie in emergent critical condition, Dr.Reed and staff saved her life in the most literal sense. This clinic has some of the most caring, attentive, driven, and supportive staff I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. My family and I will be bringing all of our furry animals here from here on out.
July 07 · Max JasperThe staff is extraordinary and truly invest time and energy into getting to know your pet. I feel at ease with the knowledge of the veterinarian and how caring Dr Reed was in identifying an issue with our Lucy Lou that she discovered upon a thorough examination. I absolutely love Monroe Family Pet Hospital and recommend it for our community.
June 17 · Nurse PractitionerWords can not express how amazing this office is. From the front desk staff, to the vet techs to Dr. Osborne. We went to get a second opinion for our sweet Henry who was diagnosed with IVDD the week prior. Sadly after Dr. Osborne put Henry on the correct medications it was too late the damage to his spine was permanent. I wish we would have found Dr. Osborne sooner and maybe the outcome would have been different. But the staff at Monroe made us saying goodbye to our sweet Henry a little easier.
May 28 · Danielle WinklerThis vet saved my cat's life! He was attacked by an animal, and this vet's office rushed him in and gave him all the care he needed. I was so scared when I first got there. The veterinary assistant that saw us right away was so compassionate and helped me feel much better. The veterinarian, Dr. Reed, did a great job operating on him and giving him check ups. The receptionist was always lovely, and the staff was very helpful discussing pricing information. Everybody took such good care of my cat, Bobby, and had such nice things to say about him. You can tell the people here truly love animals. My little Bobby is now a happy, healthy indoor kitty thanks to the miracle service provided by Monroe Family Pet Hospital! I have some before and after pics of the little guy.
September 17 · Sharon DurandI’ve roughly been going here with my dog since 2021 or earlier, they are so friendly, such a great atmosphere, they truly care about your pet’s wellbeing.
