What is Worth Choosing
Arlington Heights Veterinary Hospital - South is an excellent choice for Indiana pet owners who require a single facility capable of managing their pet’s complete health from routine check-ups to highly complex surgical interventions. It is worth choosing for its robust, full-service approach. Few general practices offer the breadth of specialized services available here, particularly in orthopedic surgery and advanced diagnostics. This means that for pets requiring ACL repair or similar complex bone/joint procedures, the expertise is available without the need for an external referral in many cases, saving time and stress.
The hospital’s capacity to treat exotic animals is a significant benefit to owners of non-traditional pets in the Bloomington region. Most importantly, the professional, kind, and deeply compassionate approach to critical moments, particularly during end-of-life care, assures clients that their pets and their feelings will be treated with the utmost respect. While it is always advisable to discuss costs and planned services, like vaccinations, proactively upon check-in, the hospital's long-standing history and comprehensive medical offerings make it a reliable and highly capable veterinary partner for your pet’s entire life.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1came here because i was looking for a closer vet (rather than keeping with banfield an hour away). not a huge fan… as others have noted, the staff seem more interested in collecting money than caring for your pet. we brought in our cat due to some dermatitis. nurse took her back to take a look and came back to tell us that she’d offer us a quote for a dental extraction. i thought at first they’d confused our cat with another one; there had been 0 discussion of her dental health, just straight to how much it would cost. finally the doctor came out and asked us to point out the rash. she took a cursory glance and said “well it’s probably fleas.” and shrugged it off. at the reception desk we found out they vaccinated her (no one informed us this would be happening or that it happened until it was time to fork over some money. i am not against it i just wasn’t prepared to pay for vaccinations today.) i asked the receptionist if she could bill it to us as i hadn’t prepared for the expense. she seemed visibly annoyed / a little aggressive and told us that we could split the payments up (if you can do that, why not bill it..??) i also asked about insurance and the receptionist was incredibly unhelpful. i think i’ll stick to my hour long drives to banfield.
July 22 · Emerald VaughtI had given them a 4 star on previous visits but after I had to go thru with putting my Runt to sleep yesterday I def give them a 5 star rating. I'm not going to differ over prices when it comes to my fur babies i have the choice to spend or not for them to get them well or make them comfortable and at peace when I have to. Yes vets are expensive but when it comes to loving your animal or human family members that's what it takes . I was so sad yesterday and they was all so very kind to us while we said goodbye to our Runt ... thank you for that ... 🌹 you have no idea what that means to me at a time I was just broken ...
June 18 · JC EvansThey may be a little pricy, but they helped my fur baby treat his allergies. He was patchy-skinned and overweight but they've really made him feel better with the allergy medicine they recommended and an intense ear cleaning! Thanks guys. (Grey boy in photo)
May 13 · Eden KilcoinVery unsatisfied with our experience at Arlington vet. Would highly recommend trying elsewhere, for your pet’s sake and your’s. They haven’t always been a below average vet, like this place literally saved my dogs life when he was a pup so i was as loyal of a customer as a business could possibly get. Although I’m still very grateful for what they did for my family, there’s been a huge shift that started when the guy running the place retired and his children took over everything. It’s not the same, at all. We’ve been trying for almost 2 years now to get rid of an ear infection but we can’t because we are given such a small number of antibiotics so the infection begins to clear up but we run out. So they tell us to make another appointment… this has happened at least 4 or 5 times! It’s obvious what they are doing here, 2 years and thousands of dollars later we’ve realized it’s way too good of money for them to give us the amount of antibiotics we actually need the first time. This place is trash compared to how it used to be!
January 15 · God’sGod420I will not be able to put into words how much I appreciate Arlington vet. They were so awesome with my cat and I today. They helped me with a realistic weight loss plan for my cat, treated an eye issue, shots etc. They were also very thorough. Above all else they were kind and they cared, and that means the world.
