★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The Staff and Dr's are the nicest, knowledgeable, caring Dr's ever. You can tell they love our babies. I love how they explain every thing they are doing and why. My dogs Harley and Joe love going there. They never cower when we get there.
October 10 · Reah MAUPINWhile I didn’t get a happy ending I can never think them enough for trying. Our sweet girl had gotten into the trash on the 4th of July. With the holiday weekend we were left with limited choices on care as her intestines became blocked. We took her to medvet dayton Saturday when her symptoms started. They wanted $150 just to look at her, 1k to confirm with tests, and 10k upfront to save her life or recommended euthanasia if I couldn’t afford it. I don’t know anyone who could’ve. Every call I made over the weekend was just more heartbreak. I still opted to give her a fighting chance. Against all odds she made it through the weekend. Connersville got her in almost right away Monday morning. While we did briefly go over pricing it was within reason and their concern was more on her. They started treating her immediately. She made it through surgery but unfortunately as hard as she fought her little body just fought too long and she didn’t make it through the night. I’m thankful they cared enough to try. Handing her over and walking away was so hard. I had stayed up every night helping her keep fighting but I trust that they gave her all the love I couldn’t be there to give until the end. Rest easy my girl 🌈🐾
July 09 · Kaylynn Van HookMy fur babies have been going to Dr. Kelfaber for 21 years. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my fur babies. When the time comes they are very compassionate and caring for your fur babies and their humans. Everyone at the facility is kind, caring, and cares about our fur babies.Highly recommended
May 12 · Vicky CarrI started my journey at Kurtz Veterinarian in Hagerstown, after 2,000 in tests they were Almost able to narrow it down for me, so I wanted a 2nd opinion, I brought my poor suffering boy in with knowing the likelihood we'd be offering him peace, I was at least told an Ultrasound was done, the lady shows me a picture of a tumor on her phone, my poor baby was whimpering with every breathe. But I was reassured that no doubt with another form of anti-inflammatory and pain management that there was still room for urine despite the tumor, "I could still get another quality year of life" I 1st told them that I came here accepting that I'm not selfish enough to keep him dispite all my love for him if it means him being in pain. I knew as soon as they said gabapintin for pain management that I had myself been prescribed this after surgery and "it was as if it were a baby aspirin for my pain" I insisted if I were to try this that he get a shot immediately for pain, they complied with a muscle relaxer, I didn't even wait to get home to give him the gabapintin, my appointment was at 2pm, I called at 4:30 and told them, he is still wencing and whining with every breathe, I said I gave him the pill with a couple bites of hamburger, The Vet then told me, "dogs don't eat if their in pain, he's most likely whining because he's feeding off of my anxiety about the entire situation" I then said, so he's in the backyard crying out right now because he's feeding off my anxiety vibes from within the house. He said yeah so let's give him the weekend to get adjusted to the meds, I'm literally writing this at 5:30 the following morning with my dog still crying. I Promised my dear baby on the way there, you're not going to hurt anymore. I was given false hope in a true state of desperation. But I at least I have the guilt now that my poor baby is just stressed out 15 hours later because I've been up for 3 days non-stop trying to comfort him. Wouldn't recommend this Veterinarian in any sort of critical situation. Not to mention this is me calling and getting scheduled after having called and leaving 2 messages on the answering machine that states, "if you're having an emergency leave your name and number and I'll get back with you as soon as I recieved the message. In closing, folks, this entire situation has been a living nightmare and I'll never forgive myself the pain that he endured from truly incompetent Veterinarian's, I've still a review to leave for Kurtz, again, 2,000 with no viable answers, just truly one of the absolute worst times and pain in my life.
