One reviewer noted: "I’m done with this group of $$$$$ first animal care second," expressing concern over a fee-first approach and a perceived lack of 'look-see' for a non-scheduled pet. Another reviewer strongly advised caution, citing an over-vaccination incident and a lack of transparency regarding pricing and post-vaccine reaction support. The contrast between the broad, professional services offered and the reported interactions with some clients regarding compassion and communication styles is a factor Pet Parents in the Yorktown area should consider when choosing their veterinarian.

Dr. Tamantha S. Hickok Reviews
Just left the office, talk about all business and cold, yes I get it you need to pay to have your k9 looked at. We have been with this vet center for three years….. I brought both of my dogs in with only one having an appointment, after Doc Hitchcock was finish with k9 one , our 2nd K 9 has a small pimple on her side and I ask if she could take a look ( I’m thinking if we need to schedule an appointment ok…or they tell us not to worry about it Oh my, the reaction was like I had just told the vet doc I was going to burn the place down….before I could even finish asking her to take a Quick Look, the good BUSINESS doctor backed up with her hands up and out towards us ( as if we had the Covid flu) , saying NOPE I don’t have her chart in front of me!!what the hell did having her chart do with just a look see? Oh that’s right money money money for an opinion????Look we pay for services and I sure do understand that they want payment, but just a Quick Look and let us know to bring our k9 in or not was all the hell I was wanting!I’m done with this group of $$$$$ first animal care second !!!Stay away from this non caring person , when she looks at your pet she only sees a piggy bank not a living part of your family!!
February 26 · jon evansI would STRONGLY recommend against this vet. She over-vaccinated my dog after telling me it was necessary for a boarding stay- resulting in near death, autoimmune disease. My dog was healthy the day she went in there and has since declined in health. When asked how much the vaccines would be she reported, “I don’t do prices that’s what the girls up front are for”. She is not caring and took the dogs out of the room to vaccinate- who knows what she gave my poor baby. My dog has never been sick until now. It saddens me you try to take care of your pet, they’re family, and you take them to a place you’re supposed to be able to trust. She is only in this business for money, when I called about the vaccine reaction they reported it was not the cause- and wanted me to pay hundreds of dollars for testing! They wouldn’t even do a follow-up appointment unless it was drop-off and I didn’t trust them with her at this point. I took her to another vet who is caring, comforting and reports that due to the timeline of her health decline and this appearance of mediated immune disease it is most likely from being OVER VACCINATED. Do your research please, before taking your dogs in. Some vaccines only need to be given once per life and this clinic gave my poor, 15 pound dog the same vaccines plus more last year and again this year. It is just money signs for them and they do NOt care about your pet. Please go elsewhere.
