New Palestine Veterinary Clinic Introduce
For pet owners in New Palestine and the surrounding communities in Indiana, **New Palestine Veterinary Clinic (NPVC)** serves as a local **Animal Hospital** dedicated to providing both routine wellness and critical **Veterinary Care For Dogs And Cats**. Located conveniently on W U.S. 52, this clinic aims to be a comprehensive resource for all your pet’s health needs, from the earliest stages of **Puppy & Kitten Care** to supportive **Senior Pet Care** and **End Of Life Pet Care**.
The clinic is committed to modern, progressive veterinary medicine, notably through its adoption of the **Fear Free Certification** program. This means the entire team—doctors and staff—is trained to employ techniques that help alleviate fear, anxiety, and stress in pets during their **Veterinary Visits**. This commitment is crucial for pets that often find a trip to the vet stressful, ensuring a more positive experience with every **Vet Exams**. NPVC encourages the use of pheromone diffusers, happy voices, and positive reinforcement to create a calming environment for its patients.
However, the clinic's transition and current philosophy have garnered a mixed reputation among long-time Indiana residents. While newer clients, like one who praised the "amazing" care and "empathy and compassion" shown to their dog Bowser during a short but urgent time, express strong satisfaction, older clients reflect on a significant shift in practice culture. A highly critical review shared the heartbreaking story of a beloved 11-year patient whose owners, in a time of crisis, were denied **End Of Life Pet Care** to alleviate suffering, reportedly due to a staffing decision related to a cancelled appointment. This client noted a perceived change to a "big corporate" mindset, where business needs appeared to overshadow the "caring, loving office" culture that existed under previous ownership.
It is important for prospective clients in the Indiana region to consider both the high-quality **Diagnostic Imaging** and modern medical capabilities of NPVC, as well as the critical feedback regarding compassion and responsiveness during sensitive, non-scheduled situations. The clinic's stated commitment to excellent care remains evident in its comprehensive services, including **Pet Digital Radiology** and **Pet Ultrasound**, which offer valuable tools for managing **Illness & Injury**.
Ultimately, New Palestine Veterinary Clinic presents itself as a modern **Animal Hospital** with certified staff, utilizing advanced protocols like **Fear Free Vet Visits** and a wide range of medical services to support the long-term health of your companion. They invite pet owners to partner with them in their pet’s journey toward a **Dog Healthy** life.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1It’s taken me a while to get up the strength to write this review. But I’m doing it because I need to get this out. My dog Buckeye passed away on July 2nd, 2025. Buckeye had been acting a little weird, he was acting kinda agitated like there was a thunderstorm coming. Then suddenly, he started acting lethargic. On July 1st, we made an appointment for NPVC to see Buckeye on the 2nd. We went to get him to take him to vet’s office but couldn’t get him to move. He was acting out of it. He suddenly started whimpering and growling like he was in pain. We called the NPVC and told them we were gonna take him to a pet emergency center. Therefore they canceled our appointment. His pain stopped after a few moments as we got ready to take him Indy Vet. But his eyes were glassed over and his breath was weak. We figured he was in the process of dying. So I call NPVC to see if they could put him to sleep and alleviate anymore suffering. I was told their doctors had decided to schedule their lunches based on us canceling our earlier appointment and that they would NOT put my dog to sleep. My response was, “Do you not understand the meaning of mercy?” The office person on the other end of the call responds with “Do you not understand the need to eat” in a rather hateful tone.My dog died 20 minutes later. But these people could not have taken time to give mercy to a dog that was their patient for 11 years. This place is no longer the caring, loving office it was under Dr. Hilderbrandt.Take this review however you want. But I will never take another pet to these people. New Pal Vet is big corporate in veterinary care. They care about your money, not your pet. Don’t kid yourself.Dr. Hilderbrandt owned the clinic 12 years ago or so. And he is the last of a dying breed of veterinarian. He cared for your pet and not for the money.
September 20 · maddawgnp MWe were only with this vet for a short time but within that short time the care they showed our sweet boy was amazing. They showed empathy and compassion, as well as very responsive when it was urgent matters. We cannot thank you enough for loving our sweet boy, Bowser, for the short time!
September 08 · Demi SawyerI’m thankful to have found the New Pal Vet. All around great people who care about your pets. Our Marlee has passed and didn’t see them for very long but Marlee was always happy to be there. We have 4 others 2 of them being easy dogs and 2 are difficult but everyone still handles them very well and I trust them when my dogs are left in their care. A special thank you to Dr Elkins who has really put her time and effort into helping my difficult dogs feel as safe and comfortable as can be.
August 18 · Samantha WellsIts bee about a little more than a year since ive been but this is my honest review.I will sit here and say they are OK as a vets office, in my experience the receptionists are a bit... brisk and rude. The vet i saw was also rude and blunt when seeing my pet, and while im holding my dog crying, she starts talking about cost of the visit. And then gives me the "Stuff we can try, but to not be hopeful, and that I should consider putting her to sleep." Said dog made an amazing recovery, and then once she finished her rounds of meds, she got her first heat cycle in about 5 months. She had closed Pyometra. I called freaking out, and was put on a cancelation list. They called me three months later saying that if she was still alive they had a cancelation finally. Got her into low cost spay and neuter in noblesville, two days later thank god. I recommend this place if you have a good solid healthy pet, bit if you have a sick one, who youre having a medical crisis with, I cannot recommend this place.
September 07 · Karma LewisThey got me (well, my cat Louis) in as a new patient with a same day appointment. They were swift, efficient, caring, and I didn't feel judged because he hadn't been to a vet since his adoption. He was really, really sick and they did their best to work through it but also recognized when he was too stressed to move forward. They gave me plenty of time to get him back in his carrier which is not easy especially because he was so mad. He hadn't eaten in days and I thought he may not make it. But what did he do? The most "cat" like thing possible. As soon as we got home he immediately went to his food bowl for a snack, had a quick drink of water at his fountain and has been chilling in his cat carrier ever since acting like nothing ever happened. Oh well, at least I found a vet for him.
