★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The staff and vets are lovely. We have an elderly (15 year old) cat who's got some bad teeth. Unfortunately with his age the vets weren't sure the surgery wouldn't kill him. They've done so much to help us keep him on antibiotics when his teeth act up and then steroids today to keep our old man comfortable and going. And he is. He's a happy nice kitty. They also saved the life of my black cat Lilah once before. We once had to take her to a vet ER and they honestly weren't very helpful and convinced us she was dying and it was honestly very traumatic. We took her to St Francis and they got her medication and then a special formula to feed her and she recovered in 3 days. They've gone out of their way to be helpful and wonderful and just today when I was making an appointment the office lady gave me such comfort. I probably sounded like a wreck because I was scared and she was so gentle and told me a similar story and it calmed me down and it was just wonderful. I highly recommend them to everyone. Their costs are so fantastic and they work to stay in your budget.
June 13 · Star Song (Knottedfingers)I have 5 dogs and have brought them all to this vet for roughly 4 years now. I'm very mixed on the quality of care my pups receive here. I've had 3 really bad experiences in those 4 years. Here are each of those. First, I recommend getting itemized receipts because they will charge you for the cart in the room that has treats, ear swabs, etc. even if your dog doesn't use them, they charged me $9 to throw away an ear swab and like $25 for the cart being in the room. The second thing was I took my dane merlin in to get heartworm shots, and they were set on having me do a screening before they would do the shots. We were against doing the screening at first since it was around $100 but the vet tec said if we don't screen first and he has worms this shot has a high probability of killing him she said it over and over so we gave in let them take him back for the test and shot. They came back with him and told us they gave him his shots, and if we wanted, we could wait around another 15 minutes for the results of the test to come back. So they went ahead and gave him the shots before they even knew the results of the test after telling us he could die if they gave it to him before we tested. Lastly, my beagle went in to get thyroid medicine. The first month was fine, and it went smoothly. Second month, they were supposed to up his meds because it didn't level him out they sold us the same exact medicine as the first month, knowing it would not put his levels where they needed to be. They said it was a miscommunication, and since we had already bought it, we would just do one more month on that dose and then up it on month 3. Well, month 3 began a few day ago, and instead of us just getting a higher dose, they drew blood and charged us $80 and sent me away with no medicine. The vet called my wife the next day and said the tech didn't read his notes because he wrote down we were to come in, get meds, and leave no need for a blood draw or anything. To their credit, they did give me a credit of service for the $80 and sold me the correct medicine the next day. The medicine was only 25 bucks, so now I have a credit of $55. But I had to bring the credit back up to them at the desk because they tried to just charge me for the medicine without the credit. All in all I feel the actual vet does care about your animals but the business he works for is shady as can be they will pull on your heartstring to get extra money from you, just be careful going here. I'd find a new vet, but I am moving out of state soon. If you're a new dog owner, I would not recommend this place at all, but if you do go, just be careful.Update since I can't reply to your response. I wish I would have kept my receipt because I have 100% been charged for the cart being in the room and unused items on said cart. There was no miscommunication with the heartworm thing. The vet said that if she gave him the shot and he had heartworms that there was a high possibility of death. So we went forward with the test first. When they brought him back, they had given him the shot and told us we could hang around for about 10 minutes for the results of the test. Order of events went test shot results, not test results shot. The cost is irrelevant it bothered me they told us he could die if he didn't get the test before the shot, so we got him the test, and they gave him the shot before knowing the results. Lastly they never offered a check they offered to put the money back on my card but the lady at the front desk insinuated that your machines were slow and who knows how long that would take to get back to me. Small detail but shows the disconnect between management and staff. Lastly, dr.earl called us and said the vet techs didn't follow his notes, so I took him at his word.
May 14 · cody HartI went maybe a year ago for my dog and they were so sweet and caring for other people and of dogs around then I also went not too long ago for my kitten and they were so nice and caring and get her the medicine she needed very quickly. As you can see in the pictures the difference between my kittens eyes were in less than a week or two. I definitely recommend them and they are so nice and reasonable prices and are caring for more than just your pet.
July 30 · Mia LawsOkay enough place. Shady business practices, like most vets I’ve been to.We went for a wellness check on a newly adopted pup… they said $50, you are REQUIRED to bring a stool sample. Called the day before to remind me I have to bring a stool sample…Checking out from the visit when shocked about the price I’m being charged, she says “oh, you CHOSE to have us run a stool sample…”Shady.
April 22 · Joel AlesIf your dog is going to be on a prescription for a long period of time or is a very important prescription that your dog has to have I suggest to try to get it filled somewhere else if you speak with somebody on the phone and they tell you one thing and say that you're able to come get your prescription always make sure just write down as much information as you can we have been told several different things and then when you go to pick it up it's something different or they tell you that you didn't speak with somebody earlier when you did and then they want to not give you the prescription tell you it's not there when it is there it's just been a very big headache
