Brought a feral cat in to get fixed. Dr did not use dissolvable stitches. Said to bring back in 2 weeks to remove stitches. I was LUCKY to have gotten her in a carrier the first time to bring her. My arms got clawed.. I never could get her after the 2 weeks to remove stitches. I pray kitty will be ok. I know places get busy! But there is no excuse for attitude especially in front of other people! - Beanie

Winchester Veterinary Clinic Introduce

For pet owners and farmers throughout Randolph County and the surrounding areas of East Central Indiana, Winchester Veterinary Clinic stands as a pillar of community animal health. This established practice offers comprehensive veterinary care, covering the unique needs of both traditional household pets, such as cats and dogs, and a variety of large farm animals. As a local clinic, the practice is deeply integrated into the community, known for building long-lasting relationships with families and providing dedicated care that spans generations of beloved animals.

The clinic’s reputation is overwhelmingly positive, with many local patrons expressing profound loyalty. One reviewer captured this sentiment perfectly, stating that the lead veterinarian is an "asset to Winchester," and that they "would never go to another vet." This deep-seated trust often stems from the clinic's ability to handle diverse cases, from routine wellness checks for cats and dogs to complex health issues concerning large farm animals. The staff is consistently described as amazing, kind, and professional, underscoring a commitment to compassionate service.

It is important to note that, as a busy, long-standing local clinic, the facility operates with an emphasis on professional procedure. The clinic does recommend appointments for planning purposes, ensuring smoother service flow. While the overall feedback is glowing, with many families dreading the day the primary doctor retires, one critique mentioned a procedural detail regarding non-dissolvable stitches for a feral cat spay procedure, which required a follow-up visit. While this is a standard and acceptable surgical technique, it highlights the importance of discussing specific post-operative requirements with the veterinary team during your visit, especially for animals that may be difficult to handle for a return trip. This dedication to standard, thorough procedure is part of the professional care they provide.

What is Worth Choosing

Choosing Winchester Veterinary Clinic is choosing a trusted, long-term health partner for every animal in your care, whether they are inside your home or on your farm in the Indiana region. The worth of this clinic is inextricably linked to the expertise and dedication of its lead veterinarian and staff, who are not just service providers but are considered integral members of the Winchester community.

In an area where farm and household animals are equally important, the ability of the clinic to expertly manage "farm animals large or small" alongside cats and dogs is a unique and significant advantage.
