This Animal Hospital operates as a dedicated local resource for veterinary care, emphasizing a commitment to service and long-term relationships with both pets and their families. Their mission is rooted in serving the community with accessible and comprehensive medical attention for furry companions.
County Wide Animal Clinic offers a range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of pet owners in the area, from routine wellness to more immediate health concerns, including Urgent Care. Notably, the clinic also recognizes the value of diverse treatment options by offering Animal Holistic Care. This dedication to providing a broad spectrum of care, from traditional medicine to mobile services, positions them as a central pillar of animal health in this Indiana community.
Like any long-standing local business, the clinic fosters deep connections, and many clients, such as those who have brought their "fur babies here for 15yrs now," express unwavering trust and satisfaction, particularly with the staff and the attention provided by Doctor Schonoe. This type of long-term loyalty speaks volumes about the consistency and dedication of the practice, reinforcing its status as a fixture in the Cannelton community.
However, it is important for prospective clients to note the differing perspectives on sensitive services like end-of-life care. While one long-time client praises the doctor for letting them know "how it's done and how long it takes" and ensuring a respectful handling of their pets with "cadaver bags that kept the body fluids from leaking," another experience described the process as severely lacking in compassion and communication. This stark contrast underscores the importance of clear communication with the clinic staff, particularly when handling emotionally difficult situations, to ensure expectations for compassionate care are explicitly met.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I've been going to the County Wide Animal Clinic for 15yrs now and I still do and in my 15yrs of bringing my fur babies here i have never been dissatisfied with the service nor have I ever had any of the ladies be rude to me on the phone when I call also I know for a fact how Doctor Schonoe is when it comes to putting a fur baby down because I have had to put two of my fur babies down and have went to Doc both times he lets you know how it's done and how long it takes and he let's you say your goodbyes and he put my babies in cadaver bags that kept the body fluids from leaking it's not a garbage bag. I get everyone has an opinion and in my opinion I trust Doctor Schonoe with my fur babies and I've never had anyone that works here be rude to me and I will keep going to my vet till they close and I have to go somewhere else this is my opinion on the County Wide Animal Clinic.
October 03 · Toni WilliamsWish I could give 0 stars. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. we went to have our 14 year old dog put down and the guy didn't say a word to us, just took her, layed her on the table and did it. He didnt even tell us he was going to, didn't give us a chance to say goodbye, to hold her or anything. we were in and out in less than a minute. they told us they'd have a nice bag for us to bury her in and they put her in a blue trash bag and just left her on the table and walked out. Not a word spoken to us.
October 02 · Abigail DockeryIf i could give this place a 0 star i would. I called to see if they take payments like the website said and the rude woman that answered the phone told me " I don't know where you got your information from" I told her the website. She told me they don't have a website.... how do you think I got your number??? I then was asking her a question about round about the price for my puppy to get her shots and she rudely told me the doctor isn't taking anymore patients. I wouldn't take a stray animal to you if yall was the last vet around.

The lady told me they called around the other places and that they weren’t taking new patients. The lady told me they called around the other places and that they weren’t taking new patients. She asked me if I had an appointment and I said it was Sunday Yesterday when I found Your website and there’s no way to make an appointment on your website. That’s why I’m here at 9 AM on a Monday morning You would think people going to business to help animals, But it’s not about the animals it’s about greed And to be honest, I wouldn’t want my dog around this woman for a second she’s a real P.O.S !!
