★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Mixed review (highly recommend Dr. Gregory, not Dr. Lane)Calm and organized office. Poor hours for emergencies. They are gentle and sweet with your pets. The vet techs are amazing angels, although front desk is not friendly but fast and reliable to get you in the office urgently.I’ve had great experiences with Dr. Gregory! She is thorough, knowledgeable, communicative, gentle, and honest. She performed surgeries with my blue heeler and always called with updates, and honesty of how her tumors looked before sending them off.My dog’s last surgery was emergent and Dr. Lane was reliable to work us into her surgery schedule for the next day. However, it was a poor experience with this vet. She did not call with surgery updates, thorough information, or advice while diagnosing my dog with cancer.I had to call and ask for an update about surgery (after waiting anxiously for 6 hours). I had to remind her that she needed to prescribe an antibiotic after surgery. I only talked to the friendly vet technician. I had to call and ask for histopath results. Never received a willing call from Dr. Lane. The only information she had was she does not recommend chemo, and gave holistic veterinarian references. My experience with Dr. Lane left me feeling uninformed, hopeless, and discouraged for my dog’s future.Dr. Lane, your patients need empathy, trust, and kindness during difficult diagnoses. Your patient’s families are going through stress, anxieties for their pet’s health, while dealing with money stress. Please improve your communication and socialization so your vet technicians don’t have to become the only positive aspect of the experience. Thank you for guiding me to Dr. Lanz, she explained Lola’s cancer, preventatives, and honest advice. You did not.
September 16 · Danielle BalchMy family have been using Finchville Animal Hospital for as long as we’ve had pets. Everyone is incredibly friendly and caring for every pet that comes through the door. We won’t ever go anywhere else!
May 19 · Mason WarrenThese people are absolute angels 💜 I brought my older cockatiel in a few times over the years and they were always great with her, even down to her last moments. Thank you to Dr. Gregory and the entire team for their compassion and wonderful care with not only my sweet angel but myself as well. I greatly appreciate your kindness 🙏🏽
August 28 · Sydney BanksDr Lane and her amazing staff are the best! Friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure our pups are well taken care of. That’s why we’ve been going for years. Highly recommend!
August 17 · ronandmelThe front desk staff here is lovely and helpful. If you can get past the vet techs, Dr. Gregory seems to be a good vet. Unfortunately, my bad experience with the vet techs was only communicated to her through those same techs and she decided to back them up and tell me in voicemail that she didn’t appreciate me “talking about (us) like that.” !?!? I never knew feedback was “talking about”. Rather than listening to a customer experience that could have helped her train her techs better, she has given them the green light to do whatever dominating or incomplete things they care to do. And I am left to write a review.I had given my pet an anti-inflammatory that Dr. Gregory and I had spoken about months before. But the vet tech that checked me in, spent five minutes dressing me down for giving my pet the same medicine without myself being a “doctor” or speaking with “the doctor.” Which I had not been able to do as it was outside business hours. When your pet is in for an overnight of discomfort and you are trying to just make them comfortable until you get them to the vet by 8am, you do what you feel is the best option. I didn’t understand why the tech took this moment to act so hateful. When I picked my girl up at the end of the day, it was not told to me that she had not been given any of the medicine and I was to start it when I got home. They claim this is their policy to tell customers this, but if so, it must have been accidentally forgotten. I had to get home and count the pills in order to figure this out. And that wasn’t until much later that night. She had gone all day without the meds.If this is the kind of experience that you want to have while your pet is sick and you are stressed and doing the best you can, then this would be the clinic. Also, the visit price jumped from $60 to $95 in seven months without explanation or forewarning.Just a bumpy and bad experience, which again, is not ideal when you are worried about your pet. I hope that they will do better for others in the future. Or at least train, supervise, or hold the techs accountable.
