★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I wouldn’t even choose the 1 star. I’ve seen reports of dead animals from 7 MONTHS AGO that say they enclosures are cleaned always but when I walked in the bones of some kind of animal still remain in the tank. The cat is kept in a birdcage with a littler box that is filled to the top with cat poop. An alligator they have is kept in an empty fish tank with no food or water in an old hallway with some kind of dust on the ground. I hate how it’s the same response from the owners every time. Nothing is being changed or fixed to ensure the animals health along with the health of customers coming in. Hardly any heat lamps for the reptiles and it makes me sad. There really is no excuse on the amount of staff. You live in the same building and constantly take smoke breaks instead of fixing actual issues.
April 09 · Noelle NewmanI visited the shop the other day, looking for a place to possibly purchase pet food or a reptile outside from a large chain store. My first impression was the smell, it smelt like cat urine and feces. There was also loose animals running around (a parrot and two cats)I thought it was odd, but continued further where I found a poorly lit corner with reptiles. The employees barely acknowledged my existence until I made my way to the exit sliding past the dust covered products on the walls and shelves. This place was an awful excuse for an exotic pet store. I’m sure it’s had better days but it is sad to see. I feel bad for the animals
May 15 · Ashley HarmsThis is not your run of the mill pet store if that is what you are looking for. But if you are looking for a family run small business where you can talk and get what you want, this would be the place to go. Lots of different animals and most of the supplies you need for them. Definitely a fun place to check out if you love critters. Reading the other reviews, I would say if you are looking for a spotless big chain store, go there. If you want a family atmosphere, come here.
September 22 · redroadzooI'm so glad I found this place! I had no clue it was even there until I went to the farmers fair and ended up parking by it. I like that it isn't a chain and they actually have a ton of pets to choose from. I really like the fact that most of their merchandise is considerably lower then their competitor up the road. I really hope we can get more people to check this place out I would love for it to stick around! It may be a small space but they have really done a great job with their layout it works quite well. Jatden and his sister both are great people! Guess next time I'll get some photos of inside I got all this for under $50 I could keep going on about this place guys go check out it and help out small businesses
October 16 · MICHELLE Chelle (Chelle)I didn’t know Aurora had a pet place so we took my son to maybe go find a pet today or see what he liked and I was absolutely appalled by the conditions of this place. There was a loose Guinea pig running around & dead rat in the rat cage—which was completely overcrowded. The place is filled with flies & the odor could almost knock you out completely. Every animals cage was over crowded or not big enough & every inch of the store was filled with things that shouldn’t even be there. A little boy was sitting in a very crowded and cluttered side room that was filled with toys and the only thing he had on was a diaper. I didn’t even know he was in there until he popped his head above the baby gate. The floor was sticky & nothing was organized. I don’t even know how this place is still open.My son has special needs as well & when we walked out to the car he was bawling and shaken up due to the condition of the store and the treatment of the animals. He couldn’t even look away from all the filth that had building up in there. We had to reassure him a million times we would not be getting our new pet from there In order to calm him down just a little bit. 0/10 experience completely.
