The facility is particularly well-regarded for its expertise in dog reproduction, offering everything from canine reproduction consultation and progesterone testing to advanced procedures like Transcervical Insemination (TCI) and dog semen collection and freezing. This makes them a vital resource for ethical breeders and owners in the Arizona region, providing medical support throughout the entire breeding, pregnancy, and whelping evaluation process.
Beyond specialized breeding services, Quartz Mountain Animal Hospital operates as a top-tier surgical center. Their veterinarians are experienced surgeons, providing advanced orthopedic procedures, including Cruciate Repair surgery and fracture repairing. They also offer specialized surgical care for specific breeds, such as Frenchie breathing repair and ear revisions, demonstrating a high level of surgical skill and dedication to breed-specific health issues.
Client feedback consistently highlights the team's professional competence, even noting that while a male veterinarian might not be the "most personable," he is "extremely knowledgeable and highly educated," especially concerning sensitive procedures like ear cropping and managing the resulting aftercare, potentially saving a puppy from a "deadly infection." This emphasis on knowledge and experience, even over superficial bedside manner, is a key reason for their loyal following. Furthermore, the entire support staff, such as Kailey, is often praised for being "Caring, Kind, Knowledgable, and so Patient" with pets, showcasing a balanced team approach to exceptional animal care.
Quartz Mountain Animal Hospital also prioritizes long-term preventative care through their unique and valuable "Free Vaccines for Life" program, available for a low enrollment fee, which is a major benefit for dedicated pet owners looking to manage the lifetime costs of routine wellness in a responsible manner.

Quartz Mountain Animal Hospital Reviews

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I don’t normally write reviews but this place is awesome and deserves all the praise. Kailey was absolutely amazing, and so helpful with my black lab who had a super painful ear infection. You could just tell she had been around animals her whole life. Caring, Kind, Knowledgable, and so Patient with Kingsley (my dog). I’m so grateful I stumbled upon this place. I will definitely be coming back her and recommending to friends and family.
September 25 · Emily LamantiaBrought our doberman here and this is the most experienced vet I have been to for the breed. The male vet is not the most personable I have met, but he is extremely knowledgeable and highly educated especially with ear cropping. Ear cropping is a controversial modification procedure for dogs, so it is hard to find care if you take on a pet that has had this completed. Grateful we found them as they may have saved our puppy from a possibly deadly infection.
July 24 · Katie BeeUpdate on Zoey Davis’s post with our crop(hubby here) the crop posting is still going great here is a 13 week photoVs 18 week photo! I waited to put my opinion in because I wanted some time to go by first. As my wife said people are going to crop no matter what so if you’re looking for a doable price and quality I’d say it was worth every penny. Also I thing it’s better for the ears that they use a laser instead of surgical knives.Update: 12+ month after crop
April 10 · Dontavius DavisDrove 200 miles to get my girls ears done and I couldn’t have asked it to turn out better. The staff was amazing. They reassured me of everything moving forward, get everything you could possibly need.Posting only was 3 to 4 weeks with this cut and they stood up and stayed that way. Totally depends on the dog how long that will take. Call it luck. Not only that, she had a callus on her tail and they removed it and it looks fantastic.Would go right here for anything in the valley for vet services. They definitely know what they are doing.
August 11 · Mike McCartorI called them to set up an appointment to have my dobermans ears and tail done. Was given a price which I agreed. Dropped my guy off. Picked him up, ears done, tail not done. When I asked questions the front office explained that the price did not include tail done. Who has a doberman and only has the ears done? I am completely astonished.. But they did offer to dock the tail for an additional $700 dollars. Why would I put my guy through another surgery? This is insane, like I said who wants the ears done and not the tail? I don't know how their follow up care is as I just picked up my pup today. The lack of communication is mind blowing. I really hope that the doctor reaches out to me. No I will not submit my guy to another surgery.
