Dr. Harod is cold, rude, condescending, and lacks empathy. She walks in and stated “so I don’t get what we’re doing today.” She did not smile at all and spoke with an attitude like I was a child she was scolding. We have been treating a difficult case in our dog for over 4 years now. At the last visit we had another vet mention we start speaking about quality of life or end of life care since the medications are not doing what they should be. So I did a quality of life visit today and the way she spoke to me and regarding this case was absolutely unacceptable. I am an RN and currently in NP school, and I would never speak to any of my patients or their families the way she did. She repeated several times she would not do euthanasia because my dog is still young and maybe “rehoming her to someone who will do the things for her that SHE NEEDS would give her a chance, and if other treatments don’t work then they can decide to euthanize her.” After I repeatedly said I do not want to euthanize her today, I’m trying to figure out what I am supposed to do next which she basically told me “well you’ve tried everything” and kept telling me The other medications recommended are multiple hundreds of dollars a month with the possibility they won’t work. So because we are unable to spend thousands on our dog I am “unwilling to do what my dog needs” in Dr. Harod’s words. Our dog is very much loved and we do what we can for her. I had a slightly similar experience last year and honestly this is why I avoid the vet.The judgemental tone of this vet is doing absolutely nothing to help the animals she has vowed to serve, and once this year is finished I will be cancelling our wellness plan and going elsewhere. Banfield, you would do yourself some good by parting ways with this vet who clearly doesn’t care about the families she has chosen to “help”. I will be filing a formal complaint as well. - Lindsey Gehrke

Banfield Pet Hospital Introduce

For pet owners in the Queen Creek area of Arizona's East Valley, finding accessible and comprehensive veterinary care is a top priority. Banfield Pet Hospital, located right in Queen Creek, serves as a primary care veterinarian clinic dedicated to the health and wellness of dogs and cats. As part of a national network, this animal hospital is committed to promoting proactive, preventive health care, offering a wide array of services that cover everything from routine vaccinations to complex diagnostics and general surgery.

The hospital provides a full-service medical facility staffed by veterinary professionals focused on creating individual treatment plans for pets across all life stages. Their foundational philosophy centers around making regular veterinary visits easier and more affordable, which is primarily facilitated through their signature Optimum Wellness Plans (OWPs). These subscription-based packages bundle essential routine and preventive care services, allowing pet parents to manage their healthcare budget more effectively.

However, it is vital for local Arizona pet owners to understand that while Banfield offers a convenient and comprehensive range of preventive care options, customer experiences can vary significantly. Some users appreciate the convenience of the location, the offered wellness plans, and the overall scope of general practice services. Conversely, some detailed local feedback highlights concerns regarding individual veterinarian communication, the standard practice of having vet techs manage most of the client interaction, and perceived judgment on financial constraints related to long-term chronic illness management. Therefore, choosing this hospital involves weighing the benefits of their structured, all-inclusive wellness model against the importance of consistent, personal communication with the primary veterinarian.

Banfield Pet Hospital in Queen Creek is located at 21032 Ellsworth Lp Rd, Queen Creek, AZ 85142, USA. What is Worth Choosing

Banfield Pet Hospital in Queen Creek is worth choosing for Arizona pet owners who prioritize a structured, budget-conscious approach to **preventive** veterinary care. If you have a puppy, kitten, or healthy adult pet and you want to ensure they receive all their recommended vaccinations, annual blood work, and twice-yearly physical exams without the stress of unexpected bills, the Optimum Wellness Plans offer a robust solution. The ability to utilize unlimited office visits and the 24/7 Pet Chat™ service are exceptional benefits for staying proactive about your pet's health.

However, it is essential for Queen Creek residents to be aware that the primary focus is general practice and wellness. While they offer urgent care, they are not a 24/7 emergency hospital, and complex or chronic cases may benefit from clear and consistent communication with the attending veterinarian, which is an area some past customers have found challenging. Prospective clients should be prepared to be proactive in requesting face-to-face consultations with the veterinarian during visits.

Ultimately, Banfield provides a foundation of excellent preventive and routine care with a modern, subscription-based financial model that is perfectly suited for managing the standard, long-term health needs of dogs and cats in the Queen Creek community.
