Pet Paradise II Introduce
For pet enthusiasts and animal lovers across Kentucky, especially in the central region, a reliable local “Pet store” is essential for all things related to pet care, from stocking up on premium food to finding new family members and the proper supplies. Pet Paradise II, situated in Danville, KY, has long served this vital role for the community. This establishment is recognized as a local resource for a variety of pet needs, offering both common pet essentials and specialized items that cater to a wide range of animals.
The core function of Pet Paradise II is to provide the critical infrastructure for pet ownership—the food, the habitats, the toys, and the health supplements that keep our beloved companions thriving. The store offers the convenience of "Onsite services," meaning you can walk in and get what you need immediately. One of the standout features often highlighted by local customers is the staff's expertise, particularly when it comes to novice pet owners. As one glowing review noted, walking in with no knowledge about a pet like a guinea pig quickly turned into a confident shopping experience, thanks to the staff's "expertise and fantastic customer service" and their help in acquiring everything for a new pet’s "royalty" life, all at a "reasonable price." This suggests a commitment to customer education, which is invaluable to Kentucky pet parents looking to provide the best possible care for their animals.
However, as a full-service animal retailer that handles both products and living animals, maintaining the highest standards is paramount. It is important for potential customers to be aware that the store has, at times, faced criticism regarding the condition of some animal habitats and the responsiveness of staff to animal welfare concerns, particularly concerning exotics and fish. Local pet owners rely on these businesses to maintain exemplary care, and while many have had excellent experiences, prospective visitors should certainly conduct their own quick visual check of the animal areas to ensure the welfare of the inhabitants, demonstrating the community’s commitment to responsible pet sourcing.

- Local Expertise and Guidance: The availability of staff to offer tailored, in-depth advice on new or unusual pets, such as the exemplary guidance provided for "guinea pig" care mentioned in a customer review, is a key feature. This "expertise" helps ensure that local customers are "confident" in their care routine.
- Variety of Inventory, Including Exotics: Stocking supplies and animals that go beyond just dogs and cats—including various smaller pets and "exotics"—makes it a vital niche retailer for a broader range of Kentucky hobbyists.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I walked in knowing nothing about the needs of a guinea pig and walked out confident that little Miss Lemon ( named by my grandson) would be living like royalty, all at a reasonable price! Thank you for your expertise and fantastic customer service!
August 06 · tammy amesI always make a point to stop in here to look around and shop every time I go to Danville but today broke my heart and I doubt I will be back again. I'm not sure what has changed but they aren't taking care of the animals anymore. They had 5 or 6 Angora rabbits with no food and they had mold in their water bottle. They had litter stuck all over their fur. There were dead fish being cannibalized in multiple fish tanks and when I let the worker know, he didn't seem to care very much, he was more interested in his phone. This isn't the way to run a pet store, especially one that sells exotics. Do better.
August 02 · Katrina EchagraouiThis store was really in poor shape. Multiple fish tanks full of algae and unkept. Really dim lighting that can only lead to speculation of the upkeep. They don’t stand behind their product if it dies in a really short time after purchase. Which goes in line with what was noticed. Poor conditions leads to poor quality animals. I feel bad for all the live things in this place. Hopefully someone will step up and treat these animals right. I will continue to support other local pet places even I need to drive to Lexington. Please do better.
June 11 · Andy BecknellThe store is clean, the staff very nice, eager to sell, however not very informative, I had to show a staff member the difference between male and female gouramis, sadly, they just want to sell, sell, sell, I was doing some investigations, they informed me that acaras and puffers can live coexistant, that’s not at all true, just because you have them crammed in the same tank does not mean they are community fish!!! Watch out! Seems as if they just will hire anyone
August 28 · Kenneth AdamsvillaniWhile I thought the prices were relatively reasonable (I was only going there to get two fish), the place smelt god awful and my girlfriend could barely walk around without covering her nose. The pictures definitely show no resemblance to what the place looked like when I walked in. Definitely in need of a deep cleaning and restocking.
