Puppygram Louisville Introduce
Puppygram Louisville, situated in a convenient location on South Hurstbourne Parkway, presents itself as a multi-faceted resource for Kentucky pet enthusiasts. Categorized as a Pet store, Dog breeder, Pet adoption service, Pet supply store, and Pet trainer, the business aims to provide a comprehensive suite of products and services for both new and experienced pet parents. The business operates as a Small business and focuses on the sale of puppies, which they describe as sourced from qualified breeders, alongside a retail selection of essential Pet supply store items.
The core offering of Puppygram is the sale of purebred and designer puppies, which come with a health guarantee. The business states that its mission is to provide a "seamless and stress-free experience for individuals looking to bring a healthy puppy into their lives." The store offers a unique opportunity for prospective owners to interact with various breeds of puppies, providing a hands-on experience before making the important decision to adopt. For local users in Kentucky, this store is positioned as a place where they can find a new canine family member and all the necessary supplies to begin their journey.
However, users in the Louisville community should be aware of the varied public reception regarding this business, which is typical for businesses dealing with the retail sale of puppies. While some customers report an "Excellent service" experience, including fast delivery and a puppy in "very good health" that passed a vet check, others report significant concerns. Specifically, some buyers have shared experiences of purchasing puppies that were later found to have health issues such as fleas and worms shortly after leaving the store, which led to unexpected veterinary costs. It's noted that the business's purchase contract may contain clauses that limit their liability for certain common ailments. Potential customers are strongly advised to thoroughly review the health guarantee and contract details, and to immediately utilize the guaranteed vet check window upon taking a puppy home, a process which some successful adopters have followed.

As a comprehensive pet resource, Puppygram Louisville is designated to cover several critical areas of pet ownership. Their service model combines puppy sales with retail and professional services.
- Dog Breeder & Puppy Sales: The primary service is the retail sale of puppies, sourced from a network of breeders. The store typically features various breeds, from popular purebreds to designer mixes, often at premium prices.
- Pet Supply Store: They maintain a retail inventory of essential pet supplies, including food, toys, grooming products, and other necessities for new puppy owners.
- Pet Adoption Service & Consulting: The staff, referred to as Puppygram Ambassadors, are intended to provide personalized support in selecting a puppy that matches a customer's lifestyle. While framed as an 'adoption service,' this primarily refers to the purchasing process from the retail store.
- Pet Trainer Services (Onsite): The business is listed as a Pet trainer, suggesting that training advice, classes, or resources are available, either in-house or through referrals, to help new owners successfully integrate their puppy into the family.
- Health Guarantee & Records: The purchase of a puppy is accompanied by health guarantees and veterinary records, though customers are strongly advised to have a comprehensive vet check completed immediately after purchase to validate the puppy’s current health status.
- Logistics and Delivery: In some cases, as noted in customer feedback, the business has arranged for the delivery of puppies to the buyer's location, extending their reach beyond the physical Louisville store.
The environment and business practices at Puppygram Louisville offer several distinct features that appeal to customers, though these must be viewed alongside reported concerns about puppy welfare and health.
- Wide Variety of Puppies: The store typically stocks a rotating selection of breeds, offering potential Kentucky owners the chance to see and interact with many different types of puppies, unlike private breeders who specialize in one or two.
- Immediate Placement and Availability: The process is designed for speed. As one customer noted, a puppy was received within 24 hours of inquiry, making it a quick option for those seeking a pet immediately.
- Interactive Puppy Experience: The store's layout is structured to allow customers to spend time playing and interacting with the puppies on display, which is a significant factor in the purchasing decision for many families.
- Financial Protection and Guarantees: The puppies are sold with a health guarantee, which offers a safety net against certain health issues if the buyer adheres to the contract's terms (such as a mandatory vet check within 72 hours).
- Convenient Shopping for Supplies: New pet parents can purchase all their initial Pet supply store items—from food to bedding and toys—at the same location where they acquire their puppy.
- Experienced Puppy Ambassadors: The staff is trained to guide customers through the puppy selection process, providing information intended to match the right puppy with the right family, and to manage the paperwork and logistics of the sale.
For a specific segment of the Kentucky pet-seeking market, Puppygram Louisville offers a distinct value proposition. It is a suitable option for local buyers who prioritize convenience, variety, and speed in their puppy search. The ability to visit a single, accessible location and interact with various breeds of puppies immediately, without the lengthy wait times often associated with individual reputable breeders or rescue organizations, is the primary draw.
Furthermore, the availability of Onsite services, Pet supply store items, and a health guarantee can simplify the initial phase of pet ownership. Customers who have had successful experiences praise the convenience of delivery options and the professionalism of the service they received, which led to welcoming healthy, beloved companions into their homes. However, it is paramount that potential buyers in Louisville proceed with an informed perspective, diligently follow all health guarantee requirements, including the immediate vet check, and conduct personal due diligence on the puppy’s health and the breeder’s reputation to mitigate the risks highlighted by other consumers.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Please do not buy any puppies from here. My husband and I bought our little Beagle from this place for $1,500 for a ‘discounted’ price because of her age (5 months old). The multitude of other comments about the poor conditions and selling sick dogs are not incorrect. If you don’t believe them, just walk into the store. You will see puppies crammed into tiny boxes as if they’re on display. There are only two open areas where the puppies can be outside of their cages, and when we came in there was only one puppy in there at a time. We were told all the puppies had never been outside before, and once these dogs reach over 5 months they are removed to God knows where. For having never been outside the confined space within the building, our sweet baby was somehow covered in fleas which led to her also having worms. The worms led to her being dehydrated, lethargic, and underweight. Despite us taking her to a vet within 48 hours of taking her home and having her treated for these ailments (which cost us $500!), the contract with Puppygram stated that they were not liable for fleas or worms leaving us in a tough situation. We felt lied to when we were told she was fully up to date on her vaccinations as well as being fully dewormed which was false—clearly. Furthermore, these puppies are supposed to be purebred puppies from reputable breeders, hence the outrageous prices. However, we have a sneaking suspicion that our puppy isn’t fully Beagle as she is quite small for being now fully grown, and does not possess many of the distinct traits of purebred Beagles. While I’m not going to make any direct accusations, the baby picture on the records we were given for her don’t even really look like her. She is clearly doing much better now than she was, it is not to Puppygram’s credit, and my husband and I have certainly learned our lesson. We love our little doggy but we will not be buying from here or any other puppy store ever again!P.S. The replies from the owner speak for themselves about the truth of this establishment.
July 18 · Beth AbelWe got our Frenchie from here. Excellent service, received him within 24 hrs of inquiry. He was deliver from Louisville to Corydon, approximately 30+ miles. He was in very good health, we had him looked at by our vet within 72 hours, because that covered any health issues he might have had. If we did, he was guaranteed returnable. We have never seen the facility, so I can't comment on that. I see where people are saying at 5 months they are sent away, but Dozer was 7 1/2 months old.
October 08 · Deborah BrownMy husband and I had been contemplating getting a puppy for our two daughters (ages 5 & 10) and we decided stop by Puppygram not really knowing what we were looking for. As soon as we entered we were immediately helped by staff who were incredibly patient with our girls and took the time to help educate us on various dog breeds. My 10 year old immediately fell in love with the sweetest Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, Georgia, and it was great having the opportunity to watch them interact in a clean, large space. While we were only planning on leaving with one new furry family member, we couldn’t help but to also fall completely in love with Scooter, a 22 week old Miniature Schnauzer. The staff graciously allowed us to bring the two pups together and we spent some time as a family getting to know both of them. In the end it was clear that both Georgia and Scooter belonged in our family and we brought them both home! They have become the absolute best of friends and our daughters are completely crazy about them. My family is so thankful for the incredible experience we had at Puppygram and couldn’t imagine our family without Georgia and Scooter!
April 17 · Kindra WitakWow! My 13yr old had an itching to play with a puppy and heard about Puppygram so we decided to go check it out. Of course I have to look up any establishments Google reviews before going. I will say this. DO NOT PAY ANY ATTENTION TO THE BAD REVIEWS ON THIS ESTABLISHMENT. The place was immaculate! Clean, tidy, well organized, and smelled great. The dog food products that I looked at seemed to be the best and most nutritious available. Everything about the place was nothing like any of the poor reviews that I read, and that's a shame. The puppies wow! They were all very clean, healthy, and playful as they should be. My daughter loved it she was able to pet and play with all the pups she wanted. She said she would come every day if she could. The staff here were amazing also, I believe ones name was Emily she was great. They all were very friendly and you can tell they love working there. Watching their interactions with other customers as well, they are very knowledgeable on all aspects of caring for a dog. What's great about this place is you can come and let your kids pet the pups without needing to be wanting to bring one home. They welcome you to come pet the pups which is so beneficial for the pups. Will definitely be back!
July 19 · SullenVexTerrible Experience.Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. On Monday, November 18th, my family and I went to Puppy Gram to pick up Edgar, a Havanese puppy. He was pretty expensive, but we didn't mind because his papers indicated that he had all of his vaccines up to date and was in good health. That was not the case.Edgar vomited once on the second day home and developed bloody diarrhea, which was unusual given that he had only been eaten the food provided by Puppy Gram.We then gave him a bath, and we discovered he was absolutely COVERED in live fleas. The next day, he continued to have diarrhea until it was all blood. So we immediately scheduled a vet appointment to have him checked out.During our vet appointment, the vet mentioned that he had recently seen another case of a puppy from Puppy Gram.Edgar was examined and found to be dehydrated as a result of both the diarrhea and the fleas sucking in his blood. He is currently taking medication for his gastrointestinal problems and was treated for fleas.I called Puppy Gram twice yesterday to express my concern, and was told that their "owner" was not present both times and that I would receive a call back, which I did not, so I called again today.I spoke with a manager, who indicated she wasn't sure what I wanted them to do in this case. When I inquired if they would at least cover the $400 vet appointment bill, I was informed "that is not something we do".Long story short , I would not suggest this facility to anyone.
