★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I've been taking my dogs here for a few years now and have always really liked the care and all of the staff. It wasn't until I went to another vet (I took a friend's dog to his appointment) that I really appreciated Stonybrook Animal. At the other vet, I felt like the doctor was only half listening to what I had to say and was just rushing to finish the appointment. Dr Fulkerson sits down with me every single appointment and we have a one on one conversation about my pet. I never feel rushed or like I'm not being listened to. It always feels like the only priority at that time is me and my pet.The staff here is so nice and it always feels like they truly care about my dogs. They don't push me to do tests that may not be necessary and every decision feels like one we are making together. They aren't the cheapest vet out there (certainly not the most expensive either!) but the care is great and I always leave feeling like my fur babies are being well taken care of. I can get appointments quickly, if needed (some vets have to book weeks in advance) which is so important when you have older animals that need some extra attention.
March 12 · Richard CummingsDr. Fulkerson and the staff at Stoneybrook are amazing and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a knowledgable and caring vet to bring their pets to. My sweet pup had a life threatening emergency recently and not only was Dr. Fulkerson able to quickly diagnose him, she also knew what to do in order to buy us precious time before getting him to the emergency animal surgeon. She also communicated and organized with the animal hospital so they would be waiting for us when we arrived. My dog is alive because of her knowledge and experience. Aside from this emergency, we have been bringing our other pets to her and it’s always a great experience. It’s very evident that the entire staff loves and cares for animals. There’s never a long wait and I’ve never felt rushed along when asking questions and speaking about any concerns with Dr. Fulkerson.
April 01 · Tara DownsLaura, (Dr. Fulkerson) I can't put into words how much I love and appreciate you and your staff. For those who read this post, today was the hardest day for me as I said goodbye to my handsome 15 yr.old miniature schnauzer, Casper. I have been taking my babies to this facility for their entire lives. We have been treated like family here. My kiddos have been through alot and Laura has gone above and beyond to make sure they stayed healthy and thriving. I was so reassured about the compassion this place has for my babies when Casper crossed that rainbow bridge and I looked up to see Dr. Fulkerson and Megan in tears, it really moved me and I knew I made the right choice when I took Casper there over 15 yrs. ago.
May 13 · Billy JonesAs a new client I do not have a lot of experience with the practice, but I have loved it so far. Dr. Fulkerson and Taylor have made me feel like I have a real team that loves my dog every time we've gone in. Michelle the receptionist loves on my girl every time she comes in. Dr. Fulkerson is amazing. I cannot thank her enough. She is very detailed and goes over everything. I've never had a vet that's gone into so much detail with issues my dog has, she showed me and explained my dogs x-rays to me, and she's been a god send through this whole ordeal of my dog going through cancer. I am forever thankful to Taylor. She's a vet tech here. I called her so defeated whenever this journey started with my dogs cancer diagnosis. Our original vet did not seem concerned with my dog's cancer, they couldn't be bothered to answer any questions or to get her scheduled with a surgeon even though they recommended it. Taylor was amazing even though I broke down on the call. She answered what she could and let me know I wasn't wrong in what I felt. She gave me hope. I'll never be able to thank Dr. Fulkerson and Taylor enough. They've both made me feel so safe with trusting them with my girl. They've both been determined to get her tumor removed and all while showing that my dog matters to them. The only downsides I can see are the fees if you're late and the rooms can get warm. I think those are small prices to pay for the amazing team and care your fur babies receive.
February 23 · Juliet StuckerDr. Fulkerson now takes care of both my rescues, as well as my aged malamute, and Jasper my black beagle mix (pic) is not easy, he was so upset from being separated from me this morning his temperature soared and he had to be put in a cooling room, and she asked detailed questions about his high reactionary personality. All are home and well. That's where the good review ends. I was "schooled" on getting the weight off 2 of my dogs, and while Dr. is on point, their kinda fatsos right now, I did not appreciate hearing it again from the tech who brought out my malamute on how she's overweight. I got it the first time....from the Doc. I also would have appreciated a headsup during my reminder call that if I brought a mask I could go inside with my dogs. It's been two years, how was I supposed to know to bring a mask. It didn't do me any good to tell me that as I'm hauling the dogs to the door....also, the front desk girls are not helpful. I was charged for 4 Bravecto that I didnt even ask for. If I was given my bill to view it before I gave them my charge card I could've said so. Luckily I asked what were all the charges BEFORE they ran my card. I was also charged for fecal samples that they didn't get. So to go from an $800 bill to what services were actually rendered was $522, I think my reaction was on point, and lastly to hear one of the girls say I don't appreciate the way you are talking to us was the cherry on top. There's the lost art of "throwing someone a bone". So, I guess I do owe the office staff an apology, that I'm not a mind reader. The five stars stays, but we won't be
