★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Today was my first time to this clinic. The staff, vet techs, and vets were amazing! They checked on me while I was waiting, offered me something to drink, chatted for a while to pass some time. They took great care of my two sugar gliders for their first check up. All around a great experience. They gave me as much information as they could and answered every question I had! If you’re considering taking your animals here, definitely make an appointment. They take regular pets and exotics as well and are very knowledgeable about all species. This is a fantastic establishment!
April 18 · Kaitlyn TudorWe’re new to Advent, but so far it’s been a great experience. We have one dog of our own and we’re rehabbing a family member’s dog after she endured a catastrophic break to her femur. We’ve only been patients there since early January and have already had many experiences with them including: last-minute work-in appointments for a UTI, surgery incision check, fentanyl patch removal, dental procedure requiring general anesthesia, x-rays, bloodwork, and more. One time, they squeezed us in for a quick appointment and ended up staying after they closed because the dog required some testing and more discussion. The entire staff has been kind, helpful, and understanding. They do a wonderful job of explaining what’s going on, what the costs will be, and it’s evident they care about not only helping your pets but helping you have a good experience. We switched based on recommendations from friends and so far are very happy with the decision.
February 12 · Anne Quella-BlairI’ve been going here for a few years and the first visit for each of my two dogs was great! After that, the visits steadily declined. On more than one occasion we waited 20mins to and hour past the appointment time to be seen and were met with 0 care from staff. I understand emergency’s happen, but why not notify your client of the wait time before having them come in and wait so long past appointment times? Not to mention that if your pet isn’t perfect, they have no compassion for them. My dog is large and he’s anxious at the vet, they didn’t have a room for us to wait in and “it’s going to be awhile longer” after waiting 20 minutes already past appointment time. On one of his visits the vet tech made comments about how large he was the entire visit while she herself was 200+ lbs. he’s a dog, he doesn’t understand what she’s saying, but why am I being shamed that my 8 year old dog is overweight but otherwise healthy? My last visit with my other dog was traumatic. He was scared and never needed to be muzzled for a shot before there but the vet tech was very unkind —the same one that couldn’t stop talking about how big my other dog was. She slabbed peanut butter in a muzzle and made him wear it before leaving the room for minutes—making him more anxious. She brought another vet tech in and when I made the comment that he has never had a muzzle and never acted this way at the vet before she made the comment “that’s hard to believe”. I’m just sick of taking my dogs to a place where the vet techs are rude to the clients and the animals, they don’t seem like people who love and want to be around animals, they’re just there to get paid. Not to mention i completely agree with other reviews about pricing and pressuring to get things done that are not needed.
June 25 · Alexis BestBrought my bearded dragon here. Noticed my beardie was limping and looking sad so I emailed(I work a lot) Advent and literally within less than 10 minutes they texted me with an estimate and available appointment(I asked them to text me because I was at work). They got my beardie in really fast! They were very kind and knowledgeable. The doctor immediately knew what was wrong and reassured us that he has no signs of MBD as well(proud parent moment). My beardie just sprained his lil wrist from falling because he’s still a baby. After the visit, they called two days later to check in on him which I really appreciate. They really care. And the visit only cost $78($40 deposit because he was a new patient which went toward bill, then $38 at visit)! At first I was worried because some of the reviews said they were pricy, but they were more worried about his care than charging me so don’t listen to those reviews. I was going to use my care credit card but didn’t even have to use it because the visit was reasonably priced.
August 16 · Hope MalinDr Ramos is the best vet in town! She's so kind and gushes over every animal that comes through the door. She's honest and gets the job done the first time. She's very professional and an expert in her field, but will tell you the truth if she doesn't have all the answers instead of pretending like she does. Unlike someone else. DO NOT go to Dr Kilbane. All he cares about is money. Every time I take my pet to him, we end up having to come back two or three more times before the problem is fixed. If he doesn't have answers, he will pretend like he does and offer some wild conspiracy solution. He is cold and uncaring toward the pets, hardly acknowledging them the entire time. There are no emotions in his voice. He is a cold, uncaring, old man who needs to retire.
