The address is 215 N Burkhardt Rd, Evansville, IN 47715, USA. This strategic location is typically situated inside or adjacent to a major retail center (often PetSmart), which adds a layer of convenience for pet owners who may be running other errands. The hospital operates on an appointment-based system, which is crucial for managing veterinary caseloads and ensuring timely care. While walk-ins may not be guaranteed, they operate by the following planning guidelines:
- Appointment required: Scheduling in advance is necessary to guarantee a consultation slot.
- Appointments recommended: Even for less urgent matters, calling ahead ensures you and your pet are seen efficiently.

Several distinct features and highlights set Banfield Pet Hospital apart, making it a unique option for Evansville pet owners:
- Optimum Wellness Plans (OWP): This signature feature is not pet insurance, but a tiered, annual package that bundles preventive care services—like unlimited office visits, vaccinations, and diagnostic testing—for a monthly fee. This model is designed to make routine care more budgetable and encourage owners to bring their pets in regularly for check-ups.
- Unlimited Office Visits: A key benefit of the OWP is the lack of an office visit fee for enrolled pets, encouraging pet owners to seek advice or care without hesitation about the cost of the initial consultation.
- 24/7 Pet Chat™: Enrolled OWP clients often receive access to a 24/7 telehealth service staffed by veterinary professionals for immediate advice and peace of mind outside of hospital hours.
- LGBTQ+ Friendly: The clinic promotes an inclusive environment, ensuring all clients feel comfortable and respected when bringing their pets for care.
- Convenient Location (Inside Retail Center): Being situated within a major commercial hub allows for seamless integration of pet care with other necessary errands.
- Standardized Corporate Protocols: As a national network, Banfield benefits from standardized, vetted procedures, offering consistency in service and care across all locations.
For pet owners in Evansville looking to connect with the hospital, the essential contact information is as follows:

- Mobile Phone: +1 812-473-0594
Choosing Banfield Pet Hospital is worth considering, particularly for Indiana pet owners who prioritize a structured, proactive approach to veterinary expenses. The key differentiator is the Optimum Wellness Plan (OWP), which shifts the financial burden from unexpected lump sums for routine care to predictable monthly payments. This is especially beneficial for puppies, kittens, and senior pets that require frequent check-ups and diagnostic testing. The inclusion of unlimited office visits and 24/7 Pet Chat™ provides a significant peace of mind that a traditional fee-for-service model often lacks, allowing pet owners to address minor concerns quickly without fearing an immediate bill.
However, prospective clients should be aware that, as with any high-volume veterinary clinic, experiences can be mixed. Some customer feedback highlights exceptional staff friendliness and consistent care for long-term clients, while other reviews point to challenges with communication, thoroughness of non-routine exams, and managing acute emergencies, particularly outside of standard hours. It is crucial to understand that the OWP is not pet insurance and does not cover treatments for accidents or major unexpected illnesses. Therefore, Banfield is best chosen as the primary provider for routine and preventive care, with owners advised to secure separate pet insurance or maintain an emergency fund for unforeseen accidents or serious conditions. The ultimate decision rests on balancing the convenience and financial predictability of the wellness plan model against individual preferences for localized, independent veterinary practice.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1You can't beat the staff or the doctors. They always remember my dogs names.I can't say enough about them . Ive been going there since they opened.
September 24 · Christopher WhiteI came into banfield a few months back with my cat. She’s been having some serious skin issues and has been pulling out her fur, she’s been in a cone for over 4 months now and I went to banfield hoping for a solution to what’s been happening to my poor cat. When I brought her in everything was fine and the staff was super friendly, however when I went to pick her up is when the issues started. I was not greeted by the doctor, I was most literally handed my cat by one of the nurses and told she’s just nervous and needs to be an expensive anxiety medication. That medicine ended up not working at all and made my cat completely lose her appetite. So of course I call banfield again, explain what’s happening and so on. So I receive a call back from the vet and I explained that the second the cone is taken off of my cat she’s ripping out her hair and the vet on the phone laughed. Like most literally laughed and said it was funny, I really didn’t appreciate this— especially since this was mine and my cats first ever vet experience. Later on I end up finding out my cat just has ringworm and a small skin allergy. I felt extremely ignored during this whole process from this office, I felt like everything I was explaining just wasn’t taken into thought what’s so ever and I felt like I just threw almost $200 at a vet office just to be told something completely wrong and then had to spend a extra $60 every two weeks on a medication my cat didn’t even need. I really wished they did a more thorough exam of my cat especially since I paid for it and came in explaining it was something to do with her skin. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this vet.
July 21 · corporate catThanks to Dr. Kathryn Acquito (Williams) and her amazing staff, at the Banfield Pet Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, Rin, our Labrador retriever mix, who has cecal cancer is doing amazingly well. A good and caring veterinarian can make all the difference in the care of such patients. Rin and we cannot sufficiently express our gratitude and thank Dr. Williams and her wonderful team. Their dedication and commitment is the reason why she is thriving today. Thank you, Dr. Williams and all of you at Banfield, Evansville. You work hard every day for our pets – more so when they are sick and need constant medications and refills. Yet without complaining you get it done. We truly appreciate those efforts. God bless!
July 17 · J DunThey take real good care of my dog Dasha and Poppy! I would recommend them to anyone that has a pet. Great deals for my animals care and medical needs.
July 02 · Nina FletcherAvoid this place at all costs if you want quality pet care!! One day recently, I came home from work and my dog was throwing up blood uncontrollably. I raced him to Banfield, since I was an account holder at the time. Their 'hours' had ended fifteen minutes prior to my arrival, but the "veterinarians" and front desk staff were all still there. I explained my situation as my dog threw up on their floor. The employee behind the front desk was completely unsympathetic and explained that there was no way they could help me since they were closed. She said condescendingly "I would have to turn the cash register back on, isn't that right doc?" The vet smirked, and said "That's right", then STEPPED OVER a bloody spot on the floor where my dog was and headed out the door without looking once in my direction. I was too heartbroken to react the way I felt inside, and quickly researched and brought my pet to a caring LOCAL vet service. If you clicked the drop down to read this far, take this lesson; if you want a good life for your pet like I do, find a trusted local vet and don't trust this CORPORATION. The name is Banfield Pet Hospital, but Hospital does not describe the nature or quality of their work.
