The value of the Animal Dermatology Clinic lies in its access to advanced technology and highly specialized expertise. They are focused on finding the root cause of chronic issues, not just treating the symptoms, which is a major draw for pet owners across Kentucky who have struggled with recurring problems.
- Expertise in Allergy Diagnostics: They offer comprehensive allergy management, which includes advanced Allergy Testing to precisely identify allergens. Their treatment options extend to providing allergen-specific immunotherapy (Allergy Injections/Shots), offering a long-term solution to environmental allergies rather than just temporary relief.
- Revolutionary Video Otoscopy: For pets with chronic ear issues, the clinic employs Video Otoscopy Examination. This technique uses a tiny camera to look deep into the ear canal with magnification, allowing the specialist to visualize the eardrum, perform deep ear cleaning, and safely remove foreign bodies or growths, a procedure that is often the difference between months of struggle and a rapid resolution of infection.
- Advanced Surgical and Therapeutic Tools: The clinic provides Cutting Edge Treatments like CO2 Laser Surgery, which offers a highly precise, less painful method for removing skin lesions and tumors with minimal bleeding. They also offer Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), a progressive treatment that delivers 100% oxygen under pressure to promote accelerated wound healing, fight deep infections, and reduce inflammation.
- Specialized Doctor-Led Care: Clients frequently commend the highly skilled veterinarians, like Dr. Julia Miller, for being exceptionally knowledgeable and thorough. This specialized training means they are perfectly positioned to diagnose and manage hundreds of different skin and ear diseases, from simple infections to complex autoimmune conditions.
- Excellent Customer Service and Clear Communication: The staff, including the doctors and technicians, prioritize customer service, ensuring pet owners walk away with a clear and understandable treatment plan. As one client mentioned regarding their visit with Alfredo, the team was "very informative" and provided "a clear idea of the steps that we were going to take."
The Animal Dermatology Clinic is ready to assist with a specialist referral or consultation for challenging skin and ear conditions. Pet owners are encouraged to call ahead, as appointments are recommended.

Animal Dermatology Clinic Reviews
Atticus' doctor, Dr. Julia Miller, is very knowledgeable and thorough. I can tell that she truly cares about every aspect of his well-being. The rest of the staff is awesome as well. Even though we have to drive for an hour and a half to have our boy seen, it is worth it for the care he receives at ADC.
February 06 · Denise HuddlestonExcellent customer service both the techs and Doctor Miller are very informative and really helped to make sure I knew exactly where we were at in Alfredo's medication journey and the steps we could take and the different options we have available going forward. Both tech's and Doctor Miller were great to work with. They treated Alfredo great and made it a great visit that I was able to walk away from with a clear idea of the steps that we were going to take.
February 05 · Montana HurstThey are great! Everyone there is so very nice and KNOWLEDGEABLE.They have helped our Jax with figuring out what was causing his constant scratching.
October 26 · Patricia FrazierMy Shih Tzu mix had a rash on her stomach that she licked raw. My regular vet tried several different things over the course of six months. When she had exhausted her treatments, she referred me to Dr. Julia. She took biopsies and skin scrapings and determined a course of treatment. It improved and now it has been gone for three months. A bit pricey, but they told me the costs up front. Everyone on staff there was wonderful to work with and gave very clear verbal and written instructions for me to take home.
July 14 · Marianna BrightwellI was totally impressed when the people at Anmial Dematology took such good care of Baxter. They made him feel at ease and they explained each step of what we had ahead. We would highly recomend them.
