Banfield Pet Hospital Introduce
For pet parents in the East Valley of Arizona, finding a trusted, full-service veterinary partner is essential for maintaining the lifelong health of your furry family members. Banfield Pet Hospital, conveniently located in Mesa, stands as a cornerstone of comprehensive veterinary medicine, providing everything from routine vaccinations to complex surgical care and advanced diagnostics. Unlike specialized clinics that focus only on preventative care, Banfield offers the continuity of a full-service animal hospital, ensuring that whether your pet needs a simple check-up or intensive treatment for an illness, they can receive care from the same compassionate and knowledgeable team.
The facility is committed to a high standard of medical practice, offering modern diagnostic tools like digital radiography and ultrasonography to accurately diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, from gastrointestinal illnesses to bone and soft tissue issues. However, what truly sets Banfield apart in the Mesa community is the emphasis on preventive health, primarily through their widely popular Optimum Wellness Plans® (OWP). These plans are designed to make routine, year-round care predictable and affordable, easing the financial stress of annual maintenance. They are not pet insurance, but rather a package that bundles essential services like unlimited office visits, comprehensive exams, routine vaccinations, and key diagnostics, providing discounts on other non-plan services, prescriptions, and products.
Local residents have consistently praised the Mesa team for their dedication and expertise. Reviews frequently highlight the staff's caring nature and depth of knowledge. One grateful customer noted the care provided to a tiny, rescued kitten, stating, "Dr. Losca has been great, thorough, informative & compassionate. She devised a plan and after a few weeks our baby is on the road to recovery." Another testimonial simply states, "I love everyone at the pet hospital. They are so caring and knowledgeable. They answer all my questions... Georgie loves them too." This friendly, professional environment makes the necessary vet visits a less stressful experience for both pet and owner.
The hospital's commitment to accessibility is also worth noting. The facility proudly maintains an LGBTQ+ friendly environment, ensuring that all members of the Arizona pet-owning community feel welcomed and respected. By prioritizing both comprehensive medical capabilities and a supportive, inclusive atmosphere, Banfield Pet Hospital in Mesa is well-positioned as a dedicated healthcare provider for the diverse needs of local pets.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. Losca has been great, thorough, informative & compassionate. I found the tiniest of kittens that had worms, was flee infested, and anemic. She devised a plan and after a few weeks our baby is on the road to recovery. We've named her Sofia because she's tough, just like her name sake in John Wick. We are very grateful for Banfield.
June 26 · Stephanie FI love everyone at the pet hospital. They are so caring and knowledgeable. They answer all my questions, some before I ask. Georgie loves them too.
July 02 · Jeannie KalkauskiWe are very pleased with the services we get at our local Banfield. The staff is very friendly, take good care of my dog, and genuinely care.
October 03 · Elaine MichalakAvoid this place at all costs. We asked if our cats had ear mites and they said no, which was false and found soon after by another place. They gave us this “medicine” for $60 which was just a regular ear cleaner. They gave us the wrong weight for our kittens which we needed to know in order to get them fixed. All they care about is selling you their insurance plans which are probably a scam too. They might have deals and be cheaper here but you are sooo much better off paying a more for a local vet that isn’t completely incompetent.
June 05 · JennaI have been to 4 different Banfields, and have been generally happy with the services and plan coverage, however this location was unable to provide me with any information about the checkup, leaving me with no answers and a stressed out cat. I went in for itching concerns and basic vaccinations, therefore a drop off, and I hadn't heard back for hours until I reached out first requesting a pickup time and estimate. I would never know if the vet looked at my pets at this location, as there is no indication they read my concerns or examined either my cat or dog, as they rushed pickup and didn't speak to me about anything other than billing. At other vets, I have had the vet or tech come out to speak with me and discuss how my pets are doing, but here it was rushed despite there being no other pets. I would strongly recommend other locations or vets, I will not be giving this location another try due to this happening twice now. The wellness plan services are not cheap, and it is disconcerting to see the multitude of concerns people have with this location.
