CL Cattery Introduce
This article is generated based solely on publicly available information and direct customer feedback concerning CL Cattery, located in Fairfield, Ohio. The establishment is categorized as a Cattery, meaning its primary function involves the breeding, boarding, or care of cats, and it is not a licensed full-service veterinary care provider. Local users in the Ohio region seeking information about this particular location must be made aware of a pattern of serious and negative customer experiences reported online.
The majority of public reviews raise significant alarms, using terms like "Potential scam!!!" and "Scam artists point blank." These allegations center around issues of unresponsive communication after payment, failure to arrange pickup, and deposit retention. The tone of this report is professional and factual, adhering strictly to the direct claims made by Ohio-area customers. Prospective pet owners in the region are strongly urged to exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence before making any commitment or payment to this entity.
CL Cattery is geographically located within the greater Cincinnati metro area, serving Butler County and the surrounding Ohio region. The address provided places the business in a commercial or residential zone in Fairfield, OH.
- Address: 4999-5199 E Scioto Dr, Fairfield, OH 45014, USA.
- Geographic Area: Located in Fairfield, OH 45014, making it accessible to residents of Hamilton, Cincinnati, and other nearby Ohio communities.
- Accessibility: The only publicly confirmed accessibility feature is a Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lot.
While the physical location is noted, the nature of the business—especially given the allegations—suggests that in-person visits may be difficult to schedule or discouraged by the seller, as one customer reported an inability to arrange a pickup time, despite being available on weekends.
Based on the business classification and user reviews, the alleged services of CL Cattery revolve entirely around the sale and transaction of kittens/cats. Please be advised that the information below reflects the transactional services described by consumers who reported negative experiences:
- Cat/Kitten Sales: Alleged service is the breeding and sale of cats or kittens.
- Deposit System: Operates using a deposit system to reserve a kitten, with one review explicitly mentioning the deposit recipient's name as Wesley Barnes through Zelle.
- Post-Deposit Communication: Customers report being initially very responsive when securing payment, but then becoming "very slow if any responses" after the deposit has been sent.
- Financial Transaction Method: Attempts to use payment methods like Zelle multiple times for financial transactions, including for additional services like shipping, which may be a highly non-secure method for such transactions.
It is crucial to stress that the transactional nature of these services, particularly the use of non-reversible payment methods and the subsequent refusal to refund deposits, is the central point of every negative review provided by the public.
The following points detail the consistent and severe negative "features" or behaviors highlighted by customers in their reviews. These are presented as urgent warnings for any Ohio pet buyer:
- Deposit Retention for Negative Reviews: The Cattery allegedly refused to return a customer's deposit until the negative public review was removed, using the refund as leverage to control online feedback.
- Scheduling and Pickup Issues: A pattern of being unable to schedule a pickup time for reserved kittens, even when the customer was available during the seller's stated operational hours (weekends).
- Suspicious Promotion of Shipping: The seller reportedly attempted to push customers toward shipping the kittens—a service that would require additional payment before the pet is physically handed over—which was resisted by the buyer due to a lack of trust.
- Unreliable Refund Promises: A formal promise to return a deposit via Zelle within 24 hours was not honored, leading to significant delays and continued lack of resolution.
- Misrepresentation of Availability: Customers observed that the Cattery's website did not update the reservation status of cats, leading to uncertainty about whether the claimed kittens were even reserved or available.
- Urgent Warning to Avoid: Multiple reviewers used explicit, capitalized warnings such as "DO NOT CONTACT OR DEAL WITH THEM" and "Buyer beware," indicating a severe breakdown of trust and business integrity.
These factual, customer-reported concerns directly conflict with the ethical business practices expected by Ohio consumers and should serve as a mandatory warning to anyone considering a transaction.
While contact information would typically be provided for outreach, based on the customer feedback, potential buyers in Ohio should use this information for verification purposes only and proceed with the utmost caution. As the reviews indicate, responsiveness may only be guaranteed prior to any payment being sent.
- Business Type: Cattery (Cat Breeder/Seller)
- Address: 4999-5199 E Scioto Dr, Fairfield, OH 45014, USA
- Phone: No publicly verifiable phone number was provided in the source data.
- Contact Warning: Reports indicate that response times drop significantly after money is received, and the business has failed to follow through on promises made via email regarding refunds.
For pet buyers in the Ohio region, the most valuable takeaway from the available public data is the imperative need for extreme caution. No positive reason to choose this Cattery for a cat or kitten purchase can be factually derived from the provided information; instead, the data mandates a strong consumer warning. What is worth choosing is a different, reputable, and well-reviewed cattery or rescue organization.
The repeated use of "scam" by multiple, independent reviewers, combined with documented examples of failed transactions, deposit retention, and unkept promises (including an email promising a 24-hour refund that did not materialize), paints a highly concerning picture. Consumers are advised to look for breeders who accept secure, reversible forms of payment, allow guaranteed in-person viewing and pickup of kittens, provide transparent paperwork, and possess a consistent record of positive feedback from verifiable Ohio customers.
The alleged tactic of demanding the removal of a negative review in exchange for a refund is unethical and a severe red flag against responsible business conduct. Ohio residents are strongly advised to heed the collective public warning: "DO NOT CONTACT OR DEAL WITH THEM."

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Buyer beware: Potential scam!!! We have had a horrible experience with this seller. They took our deposit (Wesley Barnes through Zelle) and then could not find any time for us to come pick up the kittens. We were available any weekend which is what they said worked for them. They tried to get us to do shipping. We declined as we were not about to give even more money before having kittens in hand. We asked for our money back. They said that since we posted a negative review that they were not going to give the money back. But if we removed the review then they would return the money. After nearly a week they finally sent an email that said that zelle was processing our money in 24 hours. We still didn't receive our money after 24 hours. The website has not changed in the 3 weeks that we have seen the site. Only 1 cat is reserved and ours were never marked as reserved. Unsure if this is just a super poor business person or an absolute scam but I would not recommend them to anyone. When they are trying to get the money they are very responsive to emails. Afterward, very slow if any responses and then making promises that they didn't keep.
