★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great place to take your animals. I take 3 of my dogs there and the staff/vet is great. Friendly, knowledgeable, and don't overcharge on price either.I had a 4th dog but sadly he had to be put down last year. The vet made a special trip to the office on a Saturday to put poor Gizmo down, and to make sure he was no longer suffering.Best Vet in Preble County area hands down.
June 21 · Travis SmithMy dad and I came over I believe towards the end of May this year, since our cat Alfie (real name Alfred) was having trouble urinating. My dad told the doctor at least 4 times about this issue, just for them to say nothing about it aside from the fact that he "looks healthy," and when I attempted to explain what kind of medicine we were treating Alfred with, that was the only conversation we even got about it. We left with more questions than answers on the issue we came for in the FIRST PLACE. Then one day later, when Alfred finally starts to get used to my dad's presence (my dad had to take him due to personal issues with my own cats at my own home), we realize that Alfred's issue has returned. I watched him attempt to use his litter box more than 10 times while dad was making calls on what to do, this led to us finding MedVet, a hospital telling us it's life threatening. We spent two nights with the doctors there to try to fix the issue, only for us to have to put Alfred down. Oh, and the doctors at MedVet said that Alfred's bladder was about to explode, so thanks for being so helpful Prices Creek. In all honesty, I'm deeply hurt by how the doctors at Prices Creek didn't act like they cared all that much, they even seemed nonchalant during the appointment. I don't like the fact that I even feel like I must post this review purely because it's based off one visit, but this experience has harmed me, my mom, and father in many different ways and I want to spread awareness. In conclusion, this place might just be better for shots for your pets (and that's all our Alfred received even though we discovered what we had on our hands was life-threatening ONE DAY LATER), they did not redirect us to a hospital, I suppose because they didn't see the need to. I'm not fully blaming the doctors here for Alfred's passing due to financial limitations, but I feel the doctors here were at the very least, uninformed judging by the fact they didn't notice anything wrong with Alfred despite 1: Us telling them several times the main issue and 2: It's literally a doctor's job to inform patients and their loved ones about issues, which obviously didn't happen here. I feel saddened by how our doctors here treated the issue, with my biggest problem being them not even bothering to at least explain the problem we were most worried about... which ended up becoming the reason our cat had to be put down. I feel deeply hurt, and my dad and I came to an agreement to avoid trusting this place again.
June 11 · illusion LightJust got a letter saying they will not see my animals anymore do to a phone call. I was accused of using vulgar language and all I said was I will not be bullied into sending my dog to a very expensive place because Their vet was on vacation. First I wasn’t on the phone my husband was and all I said was we can’t afford medvet and the person on the line got real hateful saying I had to do something. She was very nasty and persistent and I told my husband to hang up because we will not be bullied. The weeks later get a letter telling me they will no longer see my animals. The vet never got my side just took her assistant/secretary word.
June 06 · Christina ReederI don’t know where to start. We had an Akita. He went undiagnosed and was finally correctly diagnosed with a tumor by Dr Sheerer. We got King Charles Cavalier puppy in December. He had parasites, and it took quite some time for them to get it under control. At one appt, they told us his kidneys were enlarged, and referred us to The Care Center in Cincinnati. The Doctor there, looked at the ultrasound and said there was nothing wrong with his kidneys. This was $1,200 later. We had about a month ago, brought Charlie in to be dropped off and checked. When I got there, I called the front desk, to let them know I had Charlie there. I was told I could bring him in, when I did, a lady with a huge Rottweiler or some other large breed, tried to attack Charlie in my arms. It was terrifying for my puppy and for me. My puppy had been having an exceptional amount of blood in his stool and extreme amount of diarrhea. He was already anemic. They kept him for about 4 hours. When they called to say to pick him up, the only thing they had gave him, was something for nausea. They said it was probably just an upset tummy. He probably something that didn’t agree with him. 3 days later, he was no better. I called and let them know. I was told since I don’t have trust in the Doctor’s treatment, I could just go somewhere else. I reminded them that they did not do ANY treatment. I let them know I would be taking him somewhere else. That Friday, we took him to Oxford Veterinary Hospital and they ran test and changed his food. He’s been doing much better!I I would also like to add that at one point Dr Freshwater, told us that our dog looked like an alien, because of his long legs. This was offensive and very unprofessional. Going to the office we attend now, we know how he should be treated and what great level of care looks like. We have since received a certified letter dismissing us from the practice. This was not necessary , considering we had his records transferred and told them we would not be back. Anyway, please be warned and know what we went through. Trying to save anyone we can, the hassle and headache. Your pet is worth so much more! They are family!!
July 05 · MochatheAkitaPrices Creek is great. Everyone on staff is very helpful. They explain everything in detail & don't make you feel as though they're rushing. They were the 3rd vet that I visited while trying to find someone to do a neuter on my massive dog, whose procedure wouldn't be routine. I chose Prices Creek based on their expertise, how they interacted with my dog, and the fact that they didn't add a bunch of fees on top of what I would already be paying. I highly recommend this country vet for all of your pet needs.
