At Home Veterinary House Calls Introduce
For pet owners across Northern Kentucky, the challenge of getting a nervous pet into a carrier, enduring a stressful car ride, and sitting in a busy waiting room can be a significant barrier to regular veterinary care. At Home Veterinary House Calls, with Dr. Craig Kuether as the owner and principal contact, eliminates this stress by bringing high-quality, professional veterinary services directly to your doorstep. Based in Fort Wright, this unique service model prioritizes the comfort and well-being of your beloved companion animals by providing personalized care in their most familiar environment: your home.
This mobile veterinary practice is founded on the belief that a calm pet allows for a more accurate and comprehensive physical examination, which ultimately leads to better health outcomes. Whether you have a skittish cat, a large dog that is difficult to transport, multiple pets, or simply a busy schedule, At Home Veterinary House Calls offers a tailored, low-anxiety solution for all your routine and sick-pet needs. Dr. Kuether’s kind, patient, and thorough approach, which includes taking the time to build trust with the animals, has earned high praise from the Kentucky community.
Location and Accessibility of the Base of Operations
While At Home Veterinary House Calls is fundamentally a mobile service, its base of operations is situated at 536 Fincastle Ln, Fort Wright, KY 41011, USA. This Fort Wright location provides the central hub from which Dr. Kuether and the team travel to homes throughout the service area in Northern Kentucky, ensuring broad coverage for local residents.
Although the service is delivered to your home, the physical base is noted to have a focus on client accessibility for administrative or logistical purposes when needed:
- Wheelchair Accessible Entrance: Ensures the physical office, should a visit be required, is accessible.
- Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lot: Available parking that accommodates all clients.
Due to the nature of scheduling mobile appointments, which require careful route planning and travel time, Appointments are strongly recommended. Clients should call ahead to schedule their in-home visit and confirm that their location falls within the practice’s service area in Kentucky.
Services Offered via House Call
The convenience of a house call does not compromise the quality or scope of essential veterinary care. At Home Veterinary House Calls is equipped to perform a wide range of services right in your home, providing a comprehensive alternative to a traditional clinic visit for many common health needs.
While an exact, itemized list of all procedures performed by this specific practice is not fully public, the general scope of mobile veterinary care, aligned with client testimonials and industry standards, includes the following essential services:
- Preventative Wellness: This is the foundation of house call services, including comprehensive Physical Exams, Annual Pet Exams, and necessary Vaccinations.
- Sick Pet Care: Examinations and initial care for illness or ongoing medical problems, such as skin conditions, ear infections, and digestive issues.
- Diagnostics (In-Home): Performing essential procedures like Blood Draws (for bloodwork and comprehensive testing), Urine Collection, and Fecal Examinations for Intestinal Parasite detection.

Features and Highlights of the Personalized Service
The most significant features of At Home Veterinary House Calls revolve around the quality of the veterinarian, Dr. Kuether, and the superior experience of in-home care, which strongly resonates with Kentucky pet owners.
- Exceptional Kindness and Patience: Customer feedback repeatedly highlights Dr. Kuether as "absolutely the best, kindest, most patient, thorough veterinarian." This gentle approach is especially noted for anxious or large breeds, such as a German Shepherd, where the doctor spent time letting the dog get to know him before beginning the examination.
- Low-Stress Pet Environment: Bringing the vet to the pet eliminates the significant anxiety associated with car travel and the clinic environment, which is highly beneficial for anxious cats and dogs. The care team noted by a customer, Dr. Kuether and the staff, were kind and welcomed both the cat and dog in the home setting.
- Thorough and Educational Consultations: Clients appreciate the doctor's knowledge and the time spent on education. Dr. Kuether is noted for not only diagnosing an issue but also providing detailed "knowledge" and proactive advice, such as recommending preventative supplements to "keep the kitty from getting sick again."
- Convenience for Diverse Households: The service is ideal for busy owners, those living in rural areas (as demonstrated by one review), owners with mobility issues, and households with multiple pets, simplifying the logistics of veterinary appointments.
- Personalized Attention: The ability to come to a "rural home" and engage personally, playing with the family dog while caring for the cat, demonstrates a level of personalized, whole-family care that is difficult to replicate in a clinical setting.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Absolutely the best, kindest, most patient, thorough veterinarian I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Spent time letting my German Shepherd get to know him before he even began examining her and answered all the questions and issues I had concerns about. Can't thank him enough for the knowledge he gave so I can be proactive in giving her a long and healthy life. Thank you!!!!
August 28 · Jennifer TaylorDr. Kuether came to our rural home to check out a little stray cat we "adopted". He was kind, courteous, and professional. I liked him and so did the cat and our dog. He diagnosed the cat, prescribed medication and even played with Abby our little dog. He even told me about a preventative supplement to keep the kitty from getting sick again. I truly liked him and look forward to feb for our next visit. The only downside is that one day he will retire...hopefully not anytime soon.
July 01 · Sandy BowcockDr. Kuether is the absolute best vet our family has ever had. There are not enough stars to give this man! He is the kindest and most considerate vet our family has used for our beloved animals. Can not say thank you enough! His ability to diagnose and treat the problem when other vets have misdiagnosed is amazing. We will not use anyone else!
December 07 · Kelly ElliottI highly recommend Dr. Kuether. He came to our house on short notice when we had to say farewell to our dog Ollie, which was extremely difficult. He was very kind and supportive during such a painful time. Thank you for your help!
May 19 · Joanie BrunHe’s an incredibly kind human and really cares about your pets. We called him when we were told to make a decision to about our fur baby crossing over the rainbow bridge and we weren’t ready for that. He prescribed some medicine that really improved her quality of life for an almost a year, before it was her time. He stayed in contact and answered all my questions. When it was time for her to cross the rainbow bridge, he came out to our home and was so empathetic and supportive of the tough decision we had to make. I highly recommend him!
