★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have been taking my dogs here for the last several years. Recently, I had to put my oldest dog Yogu down. My wife called and made an appt to have him euthanized. On the day of the appointment, we checked in, and they took us immediately to a room. In the room, they had a blanket on the floor. The vet tech came in and walked me through the procedure and offered me some options. Before we started the procedure, they made my boy a final meal. They happened to have donuts and some goodies in the back. They treated him with such compassion. Huge shout out to the whole vet clinic in making his final minutes peaceful and caring. Yogi is now pain-free, and I can't thank the staff enough for how they treated him and me at the end of his life. R.I.P. Yogi Bear.
August 24 · Brian TillotsonI, absolutely, do NOT recommend this practice. They gave my dog a shot that I did not ask for, left me worrying about his reaction to a shot he had never had before, and made me pay for it.I took my dog for his regular check-up yesterday where he was to get his distemper vaccine. I was, also, interested in having him microchipped. The vet tech mentioned a heartworm shot to me after I told her it was difficult to remember to give him the chewables. I discussed the price of the shot (over $180) with her and informed her that I was hesitant to give him a new shot because he had reacted badly to different vaccines before that required administering benadryl. Never did I mention, confirm, or ask for the vaccine. I have $180 worth of Heartgard chewables sitting in my cabinet for him. I had, absolutely, no interest in giving him the heartworm shot at this time. We discussed his reaction to previous vaccines, confirmed that I wanted a microchip, and she left. The vet and tech came back into the room. No one informed me about the results of his heartworm test. I was feeding him treats, while the vet tech restrained him, and the vet administered the vaccine. The vet told me she was giving the distemper shot near his rear. After that, they moved toward his shoulder. They started discussing scanning him and recording information for his microchip. She inserted something, my dog yelped, flinched, and then threw up moments later. He has never had a reaction like that before to anything. The vet then asked me if I wanted them to leave, so they could do the microchip. I was completely confused. I said, "That wasn't the microchip?" They informed me that it was the heartworm shot. I told them I had not wanted the heartworm shot and that I have a ton of Heartgard chewables in my cabinet. I should have demanded that they not charge me for a shot that I did not ask for, but at that point I was incredibly worried about my dog and my kids who were watching all of this take place. I was expecting my dog to react to a microchip insertion not a vaccine. I asked why he had reacted to that vaccine and not the distemper vaccine, why had he thrown up, was he having a reaction? I had never seen him behave in that way before. I, then, asked that they not give the microchip because I was 'done for the day' at which point they went into the hall and gave it to him. Now, I'm incredibly worried about him. I slept on the couch so I could monitor him. The vet informed me that he would not have had a reaction so soon after having the shot. I am really not sure I buy that. I can't even bring myself to look up the shot which I would ordinarily do before administering it to my dog. I feel, absolutely, violated. The vet even mentioned that she has seen one dog react badly to it. I, also, don't understand why they would charge me for that? Also, why did they start discussing the microchip before they gave him a Heartgard shot? They started talking about scanning him and making sure the numbers matched. The vet, also, specifically told me when she was administering the distemper shot. I hate to think that they purposefully gave him a shot I did not ask for, but I feel that way.I will never take any of my animals to this clinic again. I suggest you don't either.
June 26 · Bobbi RansI had to do one of the hardest things I ever done and put my sweet Max down on Saturday. There were 3 people, 2 women and a male vet that helped me. Needless to say I was extremely emotional and these people were so patient and kind. There were times they tried to explain things to me and I just interrupted them and not one time did they change their attitude towards me. Each time I explained my hurt they took the time to try and comfort me by explaining why this was the best thing for my Max. I can’t thank them enough, whoever it was helping me thank you so much!!!!
July 12 · Brandon StoneI really just want to praise Logan. He has always been so friendly and helpful anytime I call or come in. Today I came in with my nervous puppy who relieved herself as soon as we walked in the door. He so kindly offered to clean her mess up for me. I am so happy you have someone so caring and friendly working here.
November 21 · Melissa JarrettI really need to say thank you to Warrick Veterinary Clinics! We lost our sweet Sushi about a month ago. Not only did they take amazing care of him in his last days, prolonged his life for as long as was humane and made his passing as easy for us as possible and sent us the sweetest condolences card. But today we received the following card from Purdue University and they made a donation in Sushi’s name. My heart is touched and they continue to take amazing care of his litter mate, Gadzooks! If you are looking for an amazing veterinary clinic please consider them. The staff and doctors are so compassionate and caring! Can’t thank them enough!
