Paws Veterinary Clinic Introduce
Paws Veterinary Clinic, situated in the heart of Mesa, Arizona, stands as a dedicated provider of essential veterinary services for local pet owners. Serving the East Valley community, the clinic is committed to delivering professional and comprehensive medical care for your beloved companion animals. Their approach emphasizes the overall health and well-being of the patient, ensuring they receive attentive care from the moment they arrive.
The clinic is equipped to handle a variety of pet health needs, ranging from fundamental preventative care to more complex procedures such as general X-rays and surgical services. The team at Paws Veterinary Clinic understands that pet ownership is a significant responsibility, and they strive to make high-quality medical care both accessible and manageable for Arizona families. They are focused on building a long-term relationship with pets and their owners, centered on trust, clear communication, and compassionate handling.
Testimonials from clients often reflect a satisfaction with the medical outcomes and the post-procedure follow-up. For instance, customers have noted that procedures for their small dogs have "gone smoothly, with easy recovery and good instructions," and the proactive "staff reaches out to check in after surgery, which is a welcome touch." This dedication to patient recovery and owner support is a hallmark of their service model.
However, like any long-established clinic, Paws Veterinary Clinic faces challenges in maintaining consistency across its staff and managing client expectations, especially as it grows. While some clients celebrate the "helpful and caring" nature of the assistant staff and their gentle handling of sensitive pets, other recent feedback points to concerns about the quick nature of some exams and the perception of being "upsold" on non-essential items. The clinic is continually working to ensure every member of the team upholds the highest standard of compassionate care and clear, transparent communication regarding treatment options and associated costs.
The clinic’s primary goal remains to provide essential, high-quality pet health services to the Mesa community. By maintaining a clean environment and focusing on core veterinary functions—from vaccinations to spay/neuter procedures—Paws Veterinary Clinic strives to be a reliable and affordable partner in the lifelong health management of your dog or cat.

October 03 · Rob HeckmanHonestly sad and disappointed in this place the last few visits. I originally came here because Wendy was an amazing doctor and very caring and even helped with home remedies. The last few times have been horrible for my buddy. A few times ago the male that was working there had his ENTIRE body holding down my dog. My dog is not aggressive at all so I found it so unnecessary. And since my dog shakes coming to the vet. My dog has come here for years and not once has tried to snap or nip at any of the staff. So 1 it shows how they do not take the time to actually get to know the patients. Again I’ve been coming here for YEARS. Then today, I see the doctor for not even 2 minutes for an “exam” and I’m slapped with a $200 bill and upsold on medications and cleaners and told to go to Amazon for a flush and look at a website for food options. When online constantly tells me “talk to a vet”. I asked about a bump on his neck and was told “it’s probably a tumor we can cut it off during a dental visit while he’s under anesthesia (mind you not once have I mentioned taking my dog for a dental visit so this was random and out of the blue) or poke it and get a sample. We can talk about options” and not one option was presented to me after bringing something up that could be cancerous is terrifying and I expected it to be handled with more care. I will say the woman assistant was so helpful and caring when answering my questions and handling my dog with care. I could hear her talking to him from down the hall and was very satisfied with my interaction with her. Again, I’ve been coming here for years and I think it’s time for another place.

June 12 · Vanessa SchaflerI've been going to the vet for 25 years I've had hundreds of dogs go through here from my animal rescue in florence she will come to your house to make your dog more comfortable for an extra cost she's reasonably priced extremely professional. I trust her completely she cares about your pet almost as much as you care. I highly recommend this clinic I have no complaints on her whatsoever none that's rare for me never had a disagreement or difference in opinion. Wendy holst is #1 vet her clinic in Coolidge even took donations over the phone put towards the rescues account towards future our current vet bills when there was a story about the rescue on the news she's also appeared in the Florence blade and tribune with me her tech that adopted a dog I rescued that she had amputated the leg of she did a beautiful job by the way she was also there for me in an emergency situation when another vet turned me and a dog away that was dying from brain swelling after being attacked by several other dogs if it was not for her that dog would have suffered unimaginable pain for hours. she seen some more my most precious family members out of their life with love dignity and respect i respect her professionally and personally you will too
March 07 · Stacie nicole BrownI've been there several times for my two different dogs, received excellent service every time. The staff explained to me plainly what was wrong, what needed or should be done, and were very professional and kind with my critters.Cost-Wise, a brief physical and pain medication for my small breed cost a little over $100. Full blood work plus a physical ran around $400.The head nurse or veterinarian or whatever is very kind, but her eyes look like she's stared into the gates of hell.
