- Optimum Wellness Plans®: This signature feature is highly promoted. This system is especially beneficial for senior pets or those requiring more frequent monitoring, as noted in customer reviews.
- Commitment to Patient Comfort: The staff’s dedication to handling anxious or reactive pets with exceptional understanding and patience is a major highlight. They make conscious efforts to keep pets comfortable, which significantly improves the experience for both the animal and the owner.
- Inclusion and Diversity: The designation of the clinic as LGBTQ+ friendly establishes it as a welcoming and non-discriminatory environment for all members of the Indianapolis community.
- Wide Range of Advanced Services: The availability of sophisticated diagnostic tools like Digital Radiography and Ultrasonography, combined with General Surgery and General Dentistry, means the clinic can manage complex cases without immediate referral to a specialist for basic diagnostic needs.
- Convenient Retail Location: Situated within a busy commercial area, the hospital offers practical convenience, allowing pet owners to easily combine their pet’s appointment with other errands.
While the strong emphasis on the Wellness Plans can be a source of customer service challenges, particularly regarding scheduling priority for non-members, the core benefit of the plan remains its structure for budgeting and ensuring compliance with preventive care schedules.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I am not a member of the wellness plan. I think it is great for senior dogs who need a lot of medical care. My girls are young and healthy. I also can not afford the monthly payments. When making my last appointment I was told numerous times that since I was not a member my appointment would be pushed out farther. I have been coming to Banfield ever since I rescued my girls, going on two years now. I have never been treated so rudely. I was made to feel as though myself and my girls were not valuable. I have paid full price for the services each and every time. Never gave it another thought because my time and my girls health is valuable. I guess Banfield is all about the money. It saddens me to think that one employee can ruin the face of Banfield.
September 13 · Virginia SwayzeAlways a fantastic experience. My dog is reactive at the vet and they always are so understanding, making sure he is the most comfortable he can be. It makes it a much easier experience for both me and Maven
September 15 · LaurenTook my dog for his teeth cleaning. Next morning took the bandage off his leg and discovered THEY LEFT THE IV IN HIS LEG. This kind of carelessness is completely unacceptable and I will never be bringing my dog back here.
July 31 · Kelsey JamesonThe staff is friendly, compassionate, and simply amazing. They take the time to get to know our dog so that they can provide the care that is needed. Every interaction we have had with someone from this facility has been good. It had been obvious to us that they genuinely care for our dog and its well-being. Making an appointment is easy. The option to be able to drop off and pick up later is very convenient.
October 26 · Lonnie PerryWould be negative if I could. Over priced and doesn't really care about your animal. A couple years ago my cat died of kidney disease. Banfield never even told me she had a kidney problem. I doubt they even knew when though they tested her blood for everything. Then even when she died I still had to finish paying my subscription thing. They couldn't just cancel my account.
