★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1How this place is not rated a 6 out of 5 is beyond me. Based on a recommendation of a friend who is familiar with local vets and ER’s, we drove past 3 others and the 40 minutes to get to the Red bank location. My Love had a seizure at home and wasn’t bouncing back properly, we live in a very rural area and our dogs do run, so the cause was unknown. They swept my girl off on the puppy gurney, got her fluids, and stayed with her the entire time. Dr. V was so kind. I could tell she was a bit nervous because of the severity of the situation, but she handled it perfectly. Everything we needed to hear or a perspective was kind and genuine. Over the course of the evening after having to leave her there, Dr. V probably spent an hour on the phone with me through some very difficult conversations. She was reassuring, offered perspective and support far beyond what I see in human providers! The care and support has been amazing. I know in my heart you did everything you could. When the time was up, you helped support decisions based on our family. I can not thank you enough for making this horrible time just a little more bearable. LOVEE HELCHER 2018-2025
September 25 · Crissy HelcherI want to say thank you to the staff and team here. After a long day at work in 2023 I came home to my dog Sheriff unable to walk straight and a weird head angle. I initially called Grady Animal hospital and had told them there was something wrong and they said sounds like it may be a Paw issue call back if something more severe happens. Our Vet is busy in an emergency surgery right now. I had been going there for the last year if my normal Vet was closed. Well not even 30 seconds later he's on the floor having a seizure. So I call back. Although rude about and clearly annoyed I called back she recommend I tried somewhere else and hung up. So I searched Google frantically and came across MedVet. I called and they where able to get him in quickly. He had another seizure as I carried him inside. I stayed the rest of the night in the waiting room waiting. As a rescue from the SPCA he was estimated at 6 months when I adopted him he wasn't even 2 when this started. They gave him and me (being a nervous wreck) extremely good care and once he was stable was able to take him home until we could get in to see our family Vet Monday morning.September 2024 I once again came in from work but I was recieved by no tail wags thumping in his crate and new something was wrong. Being a shepherd he had discovered how to get out of his crate. Never in my life could I have imagined he would manage that. By the time I got home it was to late. Being tight on money and in the middle of moving to a cheaper appartment so I could continue to afford his medication and the care he needed I had no money to offer for any form of cremation. I called MedVet and the ladies where all extremely nice when I carried him in in his favorite blanket. I brought Bandit with me to say our goodbyes.I highly recommend MedVet. Not only are the knowledgeable but they are extremely good at helping panicked pet owners and grieving ones. It's a clean and overall good vibe place which is crucial for healing. Thank you all for all that you have done for me and my boys. I know its going on a year since we last where in and I'm sorry its taken this long to review. Been in a bit of a spot emotionally.
June 17 · JessWe had a very positive experience at MedVet Cincinnati. We came from Nashville to get the clinical trial cancer vaccine for our boy. The staff was kind and compassionate and Dr. Valerius and the oncology vet tech spent ample time with us answering our questions. We're very grateful for their care!
October 05 · Sara SinclairAbsolutely amazing emergency vet. They saved my cat’s life.I was away on vacation and my mother in law was watching my animals. My cat (Momo) slowly declined (stopped eating, drinking, and using the bathroom). It was hard to tell if she was nervous because of new faces or was sick. She eventually stopped moving and was emergently brought in.The staff was amazing and brought her back immediately after I called that Momo was being brought in. The veterinarian overnight was very knowledgeable and told me Momo was in critical condition. She was quickly treated and then received surgery for an obstructed hairball that was found on imaging. I’ll spare all the details, but after 5 days, Momo was able to be brought home to finish her recovery. She still has a ways to go, but if it weren’t for everyone at the vet, I would have lost my kitty.I received text updates and phone calls everyday. They let me visit twice a day, and every time they were kind and answered all my questions. They were upfront about the costs of things, and I could tell everyone there truly cared about Momo. I am so thankful for everyone there that saved her life.I wouldn’t hesitate to use this vet again. As a side note, they are extremely expensive. Their care is well worth it, but I’m sure many out there would not be able to afford it. I strongly recommend pet insurance for this exact reason. 5/5 care. My kitty is now safe and sound at home. She’ll be heading to work at the biscuit factory soon to pay off her enormous hospital bill :)
August 27 · Brandon JocherTo say that I am very pleased would be an understatement! My dog has been extremely ill, and you guys were able to get him on the mend. Although we have yet to figure out what he actually got in his little intestinal track, we know that it was extremely serious. With your emergency care my Hank is up and walking around.I thank you for the love and dedication.
