Despite occasional service issues, the store's core offering remains a crucial resource for the local pet community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1No bang for a lot of bucks! It’s been a while since I’ve been to petco and I got a nice little reminder why. I always hit the LFS (local fish store) but I needed to make a quick purchase on fish food. Item price online and in the store shelf price tag said 10.99$ for 8oz bring shrimp. I grabbed 2, went to pay and it was 30$! Not wanting to sound like I ain’t got it I paid, my fault. I got the receipt and was charged 12.99$ each plus tax. I practically was charged a 3rd 8oz bag of food. Kona Reef 100% for my needs from now on!
August 21 · Juan Mendez**DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE!! Terrible customer service and staff unwilling to help.**I visited this Petco location on May 14, 2025, and had one of the most frustrating retail experiences I’ve ever had. I had placed an online order for dog food two hours before arriving and came in to pick it up. A woman, likely in her mid-20s, was folding towels when I approached and explained why I was there. She immediately told me she couldn’t help me without a confirmation number and made no effort to assist beyond that. I explained I didn’t have any dog food left at home and really needed the order. She simply repeated that without a number, there was nothing she could do. Once I pulled out my phone and gave her the confirmation number, she said the order wasn’t marked as a pickup and wouldn’t be ready until the next day. That’s completely false because I checked out specifically as a pickup order.I asked again if there was any way she could help me, and she still said no. When I asked her name, she refused to give it, saying she wasn’t comfortable sharing it. I then asked to speak to a manager, but—surprise—there wasn’t one on site.Eventually, someone named Armando came out and at least attempted to help. I explained the situation, including how unhelpful the other employee had been. He checked me out and completed the order, which only confirmed that it *could* have been done from the start. The woman never apologized, never offered a solution, and seemed more interested in closing the store than helping a customer. Sadly, this isn’t the first time I’ve had poor service from her specifically. If you value basic customer service and being treated with respect, **avoid this location at all costs**.
May 14 · Claudia RamosI went to get vaccines for my kitten that I got from the shelter. I figured he was too young for the vaccines but the medical records I received for him told me the vaccines were due that week so I went. The man that did the check in, Jordan, was very nice and went to check with the women doing the vaccines to make sure he was old enough. I’m assuming the women didn’t know I could hear everything they were saying because they were very condescending about me not knowing he was too young for shots. This is my first cat and I just want to make sure I am doing everything right by him. I didn’t appreciate feeling dumb when I personally think the age cats get vaccinated is not common knowledge.
August 24 · Isabel thielWorst customer service ever. Lady named “Chazlyn” was super rude didn’t even look at me nor say “Hello” I told her the price online was different and she rolled her eyes. You guys shouldn’t offer price matching if your employees aren’t willing to push buttons to match it. I won’t be going back here. Never stocked and when you have a question about something they’re never willing to help. Please take time to hire the adequate personal to get the job done. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO TROPICAL TREASURE! They’re much better with customer service and always willing to help. (Fish Store Only!)
June 14 · Jamie CamachoWelcome to the Petco Gauntlet:You know you've arrived at the right place when the front door, a supposed marvel of modern automatic technology, requires a good old-fashioned shove and a battle with a gust of wind to open. It's a true test of strength and a preview of the adventure inside.Once we finally made it in, my dog, Sir Reginald Fluffingtom, immediately noticed the... let's call it "rustic charm" of the place. There was a thin layer of what I'm pretty sure was a combination of pet hair, dust, and kibble crumbs coating the floor. It was like a free-range pet-themed slip 'n' slide. Sir Reginald Fluffingtom, of course, was in heaven, trying to lick every single particle. I spent most of the visit trying to get him to stop sampling the "floor-d'oeuvres."Despite the, ahem, atmosphere, the staff was absolutely wonderful. They navigated the "sticky" situation with grace. They even had to awkwardly maneuver around a display of squeaky toys. So, while the ambiance was more "barn" than "store," the people made it a fantastic experience. Four stars for the amazing staff and for teaching me that my dog's appetite for the unknown is truly boundless.
