★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I've been going here for about a year (after I learned the hard way how important it is to have a 2nd opinion on the health of a loved one). I can't overstate how important it is to have a resource like this in my community. I genuinely think there should be municipal funding for places like this.Rick Wells DVM really knows and has great rapport with animals. His staff are amazing and their facility is ginormous. There's a big dog yard in the back, there's a dog vs. cat waiting area (separated by fascinating fish tanks and a beautiful bird named Bozo).I'm really grateful in particular for our relationship with Rick as Ruby's vet before we got into a terrible accident involving the very large teeth of a neighbor's troubled dog. I drove Ruby to Doctor Wells immediately and they were able to rule out a lung puncture and internal bleeding by taking a series of X-rays over the span of the morning and afternoon. We got her stitched up and home the same day.Ruby is now walking and eating good. I'm so grateful for the excellent care and service of Rick Wells DVM and his team!
June 08 · Stephanie BrooksMy fur baby was dealing with some heath issues earlier this week. A coworker recommended I bring her here since this is the place that takes care of her fur babies. I called yesterday ( Tuesday October 7) and they were able to schedule me the next day Wednesday October 8 in the morning. Just over the phone they were extremely helpful. Yes I was breaking down over the phone but they kept me calm. Our wait time wasn’t too long, the staff in the front such sweet souls. Our nurse that helped out with Lola and I was a ANGEL! She made us feel very comfortable and I felt safe allowing her to take Lola to the back and handle her without me being there. Now when Dr. Wells came in the room I can feel his energy and this man is heaven sent! As soon as he introduced himself I just knew u made the right choice by being my fur baby to his office. Now my fur baby is 16 and grumpy but that didn’t stop any of them from taking such amazing care for Lola. She did put up a tying fight but once Lola knew they were helping her she did chill out. Dr. Wells or the nurse never pressured me into anything else that wasn’t needed. He was completely honest with me and let me make all the decisions financially but still did extra work just incase I did change my mind. I did give them the okay to run the samples and everything else. Even during another patient Dr.Wells had he came in the room to still check on us ( he was already done with Lola’s exam but still was sweet enough to check in ) i came into the office so heartbroken not knowing what was wrong with my baby and I left with so much weight lifted off my chest. Lola is on the road to recovery !
October 08 · Mariana RodriguezI highly recommend Tempe Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Wells is truly an amazing vet, and he is always wonderful with my dog. He takes the time to explain things thoroughly and shows how much he cares for his patients. I always feel confident that my dog is getting the best care available.
October 02 · Collin WogenstahlI took my cat to them. They kept him for observation and to run tests for a week. Then I ‘m told that they can’t do anything for him. He will live in pain and it’s best to put him down. They charge too much. Plus I found out that someone else’s cat had the same problem and had surgery. I wish I would’ve taken my cat to another hospital for a second opinion. I would have still had my cat. I miss him so much,
June 09 · Rebecca TerrellAmazing staff. I used to bring my dog here but I stopped when we moved to the west valley. They came through for my Coco in an emergency situation and saved me from the wait and cost of an emergency clinic. I forgot how great the service is here. I will be switching back to TVH for Coco’s regular veterinary care. A huge thank you to the entire staff from the bottom of my heart 💛
